Best Trojan RB past 30 years?
I ddin't see Boomer or KB play, or much of Akia and Jo-Jo was great. But my vote goes to Troy Parker-beast!!! Frosh of year in MAC -I believe. NFL was looking at him if not for injuries and other issues.
Re: Best Trojan RB past 30 years?
I've seen Boomer, KB, Akia play and played with Troy Parker...........none come close to JO JO
Re: Best Trojan RB past 30 years?
Put KB at fullback and have Boomer and Jo Jo as your half backs. WOW!!!

HB
1. Jo Jo Parker
2. Boomer Reid
3. Mike Parker
4. Akia Brown
5. Jeremiah Bolden
6. Troy Parker
7. Jeremy Hamrick
8. Robbie Bratchett
9. Andrew Newman
10. Wes Jordan
FB
1. Aaron MacDonald (Blocked for Akia 0m 1996 and 1997)
2. K.B. Johnson (Blocked for Boomer in 1984)
3. Jeremiah Bolden (Blocked for JoJo in 2001)
4. Jeremy Mathis (blocked for Jeremiah in 2002, and Jo Jo in 2001)
5 Zack Harris (Blocked for Jo Jo in 2000, and 2001 mainly power situations)
6. Jeremy Hammrick ( blocked for Jo Jo in 2000)
7. Heath Glass (blocked for Akia in1996 and 1997 mainly powere situations)
Some of these guys are not true fullbacks, but were not the feature back in the offense. I know I have missed some guys but this is a pretty good starting point.

No wonder Jo Jo was considered the best back!
He had four different blocking backs in front of him!

JoJo started at HB for 3 years, and did have many different guys in the back field with him during those 3 years.
2001 Bolden was FB, but Mathis (was starting FB in 2002) Harris was the power guy.
2000 Hamrick was the FB/HB,( this was kind of a dual back year) Harris was the power guy

K.B. played more right half back in the bone than fullback.
In the I, he played all 3 positions (fullback, tailback, and wingback).
I know, that’s why I said, "Some of these guys are not true fullbacks, but were not the feature back in the offense". KB, played with Boomer so he didn't get to be the feature back (would have been nice to see what he could do as the feature). I probably should have put him on the HB list as well, probably would fall somewhere between 5th-7th. I just wanted to make sure I got him on the list somewhere.

KB ran for more yards than Danny in 1982 and was the feature back heading into the 1983 season, but was hurt in the last scrimmage game against Circleville. Alvin Williams stepped up and I believe gained 1,000 yards for the 5-4-1 1983 team.
Good post, when I think KB, I think Boomer and vice versa. In my head they are always just a package deal. I agree with you, KB is deserving of being on the list of HBs as I said I think somewhere between 5th and 7th.
