I'd like to say goodluck to Belpre but I think Warren takes this one by a couple of TD's an a field goal.

You might want to recheck the scores in the early 70's. Belpre won in 72-73-74 by shutout. Unless others are wrong too.. this messes up your 24-24-1 records.

WHSWarrior,

Put these down as fact:

1973 - Belpre won 14-0

1974 - Belpre won 40-0

You had scores correct, just the wrong winner.

Warren 42 Belpre 12. The score does not reflect the effort on both sides of the ball. I must say the the Eagles came to play and play they did. Outstanding preformance, with the turmoil of your coach having surgery, and then they lift of having him on the sidelines at the game. Add to this a big rivalery. The eagles had an answer and gave as good as they got. In the end numbers and fresh legs took its toll. Hats off to the coaches, players and Belpre faithful. Heres one Warrior fan that will gladly give them the respect they earned tonight. I believe the Eagles will win games and will have the respect from each and every opponent. A great team effort, many individuals gave great preformances, #3, #12, #54, are a few that come to mind. I know I am missing some. Good luck in the remainder of the season, stay healthy.

Agreed, this was a well fought game between two good teams. I see Belpre going to the playoffs this year and Warren having a winning season with a slight chance for the playoffs. Warren is in a very tough region and it would take a lot of quality points to achieve a playoff spot.

I dont think either team will make the playoffs this year. Belpre's lack of numbers is the sole reason they will lose games this year amd not climb the hurdle of reaching the playoffs. Warren will win games, but the schedule, like last year, will prevent them from making the playoffs. If they can beat a team that wins at least 6 or more games, then they have a chance. Also, winning against a D1 school like Logan will help extremely! If they win against Ironton and Logan and have at least 6 win or 7, they will make the playoffs.

Very proud of the way Belpre played last night. A lot of heart and determination. Even though we lost, I still left the game with a good feeling about this season for the Eagles.

Belpre leads the series 26-23-1.

Best of luck to the Warriors the rest of the season.
