Ironton with a quick turnover recovery on the opening kickoff. Ist and goal for the Tigers. Hager with the quick score.

8 - 0 Ironton.

Now an unsportsmanlike penalty on the Ironton bench. Looks like the officials are taking control of this game. Pure crap.

THANKS TO BIGGDOWWGG, AND OZZIEOHIO AND THE CREW FOR THE FEAST IT WAS AWESOME TONIGHT .
what a beautiful stadium you all have. great seeing all our portsmouth buddies again. good thing we hadda lead , portsmouth's passing game lit us up. if not for some portsmouth turnovers that would have been a barnburner.

Yes, according to Joe Eitel, subject to change as of right now Ironton secured the #1 spot and will be playing Albany Alexander in the 1st round.

Looks like Albany Alexander and Coshocton both have a team they beat with a game to count. East Knox 3-6 (beaten by Coshocton) plays Danville 5-4. Eastern 6-3 (beaten by Albany Alexander) plays Southern 2-7. Both opponets are D VI...are there enough points at stake that if East Knox loses and Eastern Wins ...Albany might jump Coshocton?????

Congratulations to the Fighting Tigers on the win........it was great to talk to You're Tiger Bait, Kantucky II, Tigertownturkey, and Gray Fighting Tiger at biggdowgg and Ozzie's tailgate.......thank goodness I got there early enough to get a brownie with all those hungry Tiger fans around!!

I was very pleased with the Trojans' offense.......we moved the ball up and down the field with our passing game, and if it weren't for a few turnovers deep in our territory, this would have been a much more competitive game........but Ironton was the better team, no doubt.

In the last 6 games vs. Ironton, Portsmouth has averaged 28 PPG on offense yet the Trojans have won only 1 of those games. We just haven't been able to keep IHS out of the end zone!!

The Trojans' special teams gave Ironton two very short fields starting out, and the Tigers took advantage of it, scoring two TDs........another fumble by the offense gave IHS yet another short field, and once again they scored a touchdown. Our defense didn't play well, but at the same time they were put in some situations that they didn't create.

Ironton's pass defense must improve if they are to make a long run in the playoffs.......I also think that the Fighting Tigers must be able to complete some passes themselves to balance their offense somewhat.......they most likely will face some teams that will defend their running game well. Right now, I think Ironton is good enough to win Region 15, but beyond that, it could be difficult for the Fighting Tigers.

Next season for Portsmouth........the offense will be fine, but we must get a DEFENSE in our program, or else the talented kids we have coming up will experience being on the short end of the scoreboard more often than not. LET'S GET A DEFENSE BACK IN PORTSMOUTH FOOTBALL!!

GO TROJANS!! 2011!!
