I just saw on Warrens Facebook page that coach Fish has said he won't be back next year. With the regression I saw in the program this year I will have to say its for the best. He just wasn't head coach material. Most games were a running clock whereas last year they were at least competitive. I would like them to be able to hire a teacher I just that works better. More contact with kids. Same hours as kids. Last time said no positions available but later in year hired 10 teachers. With new middle school maybe that will help with a wider selection of positions. I don't know of any internal coaches that would make a good head coach.

What if a teacher applied but had no varsity football coaching experience, but has been around successful programs. Would that work for Warren? Need new blood in that program. I feel Warren is a sleeping giant that with the right person could become a force.

I have heard the rumor that Perkins will step down at Caldwell after this season.....mostly due to the fact his son will be a freshman at John Glenn next year and plays football. Can understand that if he does, would not want to miss my kid playing.

I would agree about the sleeping giant. They the atheles. When they were so dismal in early 2000's Pfeiffer came in, taking over an 0 and forever team and in 2 years had them at 7-3. A good coach makes a world of difference. How to find one is question

Why would Unioto's coach resign when he just took the job last year?!
Metzler ABSOLUTELY NOT resigning. He'll be back next year. Book it.

I THINK SCHOOL DISTRICTS THAT REQUIRE A HEAD COACH TO BE A TEACHER CUT THEIR OWN THROATS ALOT BY THAT POLICY.

^^^ Yes because everyone knows that being a coach is so easy that even a caveman could do it. just ask anybody sitting in the stands on any given friday evening....

They all can see so clearly what a coach who spends a whole year with these kids is obviously missing.

Bait, I totally disagree! At least the HC needs to be in the school system either as a teacher or an everyday employee! Being able to keep track of the student athletes and to develop a team concept is very important for a successful program!

Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't Trimble go to the state championship game two years ago? State semi's last season?

is there another "level" other than that? I thought state finals was it?

Even though it was Bahen that resigned, I am going to come out and say "it's about darn time".

School board meetings tonight: Both Metzler (The U) and Alan Preston (Huntington) should be approved to return in 2016.
