Week 5: Waverly (1-3) @ Athens (3-1)

Post by A-Town Big Dog »

Waverly got their first win of the season last week in Albany after knocking off Alexander while Athens traveled to Jackson and outlasted the Ironmen for huge win.

Any thoughts?

I think Athens just has too many weapons for Waverly to contain. Best of luck Tigers!

Athens is the better team we need to come out and play 4 good qrts of football, good qb and recievers will be tough to defend.

Good luck holding them under 20, Jackson came close holding them to 21 but Athens had 4 turnovers all in Jackson territory.

waverly can not compete with athens. they have talent and a good coaching staff.

"Never say never" and "Any given Friday" come to mind but if Athens takes care of business this game won't be within a couple of scores.

Last week was nice win for the tigers. From what I can tell by box scores they are holding there own with a lot of these tough teams they are playing. I have a feeling that this tough schedule will have them chomping At the bit by the time league play comes around. They are gonna make some waves in the soc. With that being said Athens by 28

We know athens will more than likely win this game they have too much talent, we have 4 seniors that start majority are juniors and soph who all go both ways. We are just going to try and keep this game from being a major blowout.

Is the Bolin kid at QB related to your old head coach Ed Bolin?

I'd like to see the Tigers pull this one out, but even an upset isn't in the picture. Our boys will give their all though. Go Tigerzzz!
