Re: Practice schedules?
For a person to have to turn to those tactics for players to respond, YOU SHOULD USE THE WORD "COACH" LIGHTLY IN HIS RESPECT. Need to be more respectful towards the players. Must use the cussing and physical contact because he can't get players to perform, by the way, those tactics will work short termonly if at all.
As for length of practice, must be a lot of wasted time and lack of organizational skills, but could be wrong.

You do what the coach says. You don't go to message boards to complain. If you don't like it quit. Sounds like your justifying it for him.

Re: Practice schedules?
A message board is the wrong place to go with this.
As much as you might hate it, you have to go talk to the coach. Call the school and set up a meeting. Your son is not an adult, you need to do this without him.
If it does no good or he takes it out on your son, set up a meeting with the AD and principal.
If it continues you go to the supt and eventually to the school board.
The chain of command is there for a reason. Unless those morning practices are replacing the evening practices this is way out of control. You might also check the OHSAA website for football practices rules. I thought I heard one time there was a maximum number of hours per week allowed for practices in some sports.
DO NOT tell which school this is. It would be easier to correct if the school is not getting bombarded by folks from all over about this.
