Confidence wise, I'd have to give the edge to Alexander. With 2 wins, and a common opponent score against Unioto (U-38 VC-15, U-27 Alex-20) VC played terrible in their game against the Shermans with 6 fumbles, but since then have done a bit better job of ball control. I'd have to give the schedule edge to VC having played two of the better teams in the SVC (Unioto and Piketon) ,the top team in the SEOAL (Gallia) and a very tough Bloom Carroll team from the MSL. Personally I would like to have seen a pre conference schedule more along the line of Alexander's, just for confidence reasons. The game is at VC, but Alex hasn't had much trouble winning there the past couple times. This should be a good game between two young teams trying to make a name fore themselves. I'd say it will probably come down to who takes better care of the football.

Gonna have to take VC at home providing they take care of the ball. Alex seems to be pretty quick and athletic so VC cant take them lightly. If VC controls the ball and keeps their Defense off the field, wins the turn over margine, and time of possession margine they get the win.

Agree mayb Alex last hope at a win, its a toss up,beat downs comin yea, but NY's beatdown comes week 10 also, 3 players wont make a difference against Athens, not tryn to argue buckeyeguy, just my opinion from what Athens is doin every week. I will root for NY but just dont see a close game.

Alex has struggled mightily this year, with the exception of the second half against RV. I'm not sure if they've got a full game in them on the road in VC. I'm going with my intuition on this one and I'm going to say the Spartans 19-16.

joedirt you said it best Alex may get some whippings week 7 & 8 , but I think Athens has one for the buckeyes too. Too much
offense for nelsonville to handle week 10. Alex gets the win in VC this weekend ...

I think you all are sleeping on them Vikings. A lot of them players have not forgot about that 53-15 beat down Alex put on them last year. Also VC has had a way more tough schedual than Alex this year. Get ready for a fired up VC team this week who might suprise the nay sayers. IMO VC33 Alex 20. What do ya think Dundas?

I agree VC has played a tougher schedule. I agree that VC remembers the score from last year and that it doesn't sit well with the players and coaches. I also agree that VC is being overlooked by everyone...but..based off of the last 4 seasons, no one has a reason to be afraid. The Vikings have struggled immensely recently. But with that said, this years team has talent, and kids that don't quit when there down. I don't think Alex will be looking past VC based on their struggles this season, but it will be in their minds that this is "only" VC. I think if the Vikings plan on making this a game, they must get out to an early lead and put some pressure on Alex to make some plays. Imo, this game will come down to the wire.. maybe even decided after regulation. Either way, I don't see this game being more than a 1 score difference. That is as long as both teams keep the turnovers to a minimum. Anything can happen, but I'm feeling a dog fight is in store this Friday night.

I'm leaning toward the Vikings but I'm still not really sure why.

Spartans Defense has played decent so far this season keeping them in games, i dont see VC able to do much against that...........i think its a low score game with Spartans coming out of Mcarthur with a couple score win...imo
But i did hear today the QB for the Vikes can be pretty dangerous with his feet............

As a Alex grad I will always go with Alex to win with the exception of the Buckeyes game then as a NY Bucks Dad I will always go with the Buckeyes over my Spartans!!!!!

Good luck to both teams and as always hoping for an njury free game.
