I will be surprised if this game isn't close by the 4th.

If recent history is any indication it will be very close all the way to the end, last couple match-ups were a double or triple OT in 2010 as I recall and a less than a touchdown difference in 2011.

Expect the same this Friday.

Hope it's a good one. Think it can be. Ironmen vs iron town. Weather should be good. The hot dogs will be too.

Nothing like a Jackson County Veal while watching the Ironmen take on the Fighting Tigers along with Senior night and the the great half time show that they have planned.

Does this game start at 7:00PM?

Most games have started for Ironton at 7:30PM.

Forecast is for 65 and sunshine.

Senior Night in Alumni Stadium.

Two great programs both in the hunt for the play-offs.

Not sure it can get much better.

As a burg fan I would like to see Ironton win. I think Ironton matches up well with Jackson but I just think Jackson has a little too much depth! Going with Jackson in a good hard faught battle!

Would love to see the Tigers pull out a win. But I fear lost yardage plays (penalties and sacks) will make it too difficult for Ironton to sustain drives, and its defense will spend too much time on the field as a result. Unlike against some of the Tigers' lesser opponents, 2nd and 20 and 3rd and 9 won't fly against this solid group of Ironmen. Ironton's offense needs to stay on schedule with 2nd and 6 and 3rd and 2 to have a chance. We'll see tomorrow night.

As i mentioned Jackson wins this game by three td's. The Jackson guys are kind of quiet because of the proud HISTORY of the tigers. Someone listed some of those proud victories. Most occurred before 2000 and some before 1990. History is good. Recently the Tigers do not stack up. They will do well playing some southern ohio schools in the playoffs. Has Ironton won any kind of championship in the 2000's? In fact what was last championship of Any kind and what year was it?

We'll the tigers haven't won much in the 2000's but we did beat the state champion Bishop Hartley in the regular season in 2010 and had them down in the 4th in the regional final that year. Go Tigers!

With Jackson game on tap, might not want to use 2010 as an example.

I see the ironton posters are like me. They can not remember the last time the tigers had any type of championship. Certainly the tigers have some great victories in the 80 and 90. Not so much in the 2000. Jackson by a minimum of 3 t d's. Good luck i. Playoffs Tigers.
