Tough when you have to throw your 3rd string QB, who happens to be a freshman, into the game in the first half. I think he did as well as could be expected. Not having two main defensive backs hurt.

Looks like Perkins is out. Kottenbrook was suppose to return against Burg but I haven't heard anything this week.

Waverly won't need a great QB this week just get a cheerleader to hand off to a power back and Tigers will be ok.

That is because Waverly has lost their QB and dont seem to be competitive like everyone thought they would be. Burg has 2nd string in at half if they choose.

I think burg will dominate this game, however it is a conference game and anything can happen. I think Waverly will have a few good drives and keep it interesting in the first half. All burg in the second!!

A few weeks ago this looked like a game that could give the Pirates a little trouble... now not so much. Injuries have taken their toll on the Tigers and the Pirates will just be too much. I'm not sure what to think about how this game will turn out score wise due to field conditions, as Waverly's field always seems to be a little messy. I think it could lead to some uncharacteristic turnovers and unusual plays, but I just don't see anyway the Tigers keep it inside of 3 touchdowns.

Waverly QB is cleared to play. No defense tho. They will be getting a few others back as well. So this could make a difference. Still pick my Pirates to win tho.

How have the Pirates faired in the mud this year?

Burgs up 17-0 at the half so I guess so far the mud hasn't bothered them much. Snuffy said one end of the field was a muddy mess and the numbers were gone from all the players.

Just checked the radio and the Burg is up 31-0 with around a minute and a half left in the 3rd quarter. Evidently they have a running clock the entire second half even though it was only 17-0 at the half. Must have been because of the conditions. They said the field was a nothing but thick, sloppy mud.

Burg Grad 77,
When a team is ahead by 30 points in the 2nd half there is a running clock, new OHSAA rule.
