Players have stepped up and Ironton is not the same team since playing Burg they have went to what plays best for this team.
I believe Ironton is a team to be feared but only if they play to their strengths
Everybody gets better. Has ironton faced a passing team like burg since? If not this will help them get a good idea if they are better, although Portsmouth not as good passing since Oliver went out.

actually yes they have!! here are the stats for opponents passing against ironton!

russell 12-16 99 yds
amanda 6-9 50 yds
ashland 5-13 28 yds

BURG 6-9 193 yds
difference in burg game ( 3 big passing plays of 20,55,57 yds) :122246

yards have went down each game!! that looks like really good containment to me after that burg game

I ain't takin nothing away from Portsmouth, I've seen too many of these. ironton better be ready to play ball Friday. and I'm sorry to hear about the olliver young'un. I never did hear what type injury he had. but I hope the lord heals him up.
I never said they weren't in the game. I said they weren't in the game concerning the pass. They gave up a 30.5 per pass average and every team gets better until they reach their potential. Then you hope injuries don't keep them from regressing.

my apologies brother.you are correct there. sorry I misunderstood your post.

No problem. As long as the tigers stay healthy they will be a threat in division.

Facing a freshman QB should not be much of a threat this week. Good Luck Ironton!

The freshman is very good, and now has two games under his belt. He isn't the runner Oliver is but he's pretty good. He's going to be very good in years to come.

I DON'T KNOW WHAT THE BIG SECRET IS ABOUT OLLIVER, I'VE ASKED SEVERAL TIMES WHAT TYPE OF INJURY JUST TO PRAY FOR HIM.

No one really is talking out of Portsmouth. If they start playing D and get six wins, according to Pasteur, will probably make the playoffs. It starts with one game.

Portsmouth needs to get more excited. Anything can happen.

A freshman is still a freshman anyway you look at it. There are "great" freshman but they still make freshman errors. Poor kid is going to learn a lot this week! Hope he does good but Tigers win.

TOTALLY UNRELATED TO THIS GAME BUT,
I GANDER ALL OVER JOE EITEL, I LIKE TO GET FAMILIAR WITH THE REGIONS, ESPECIALLY WITH IRONTON AT D5 NOW. oops, and I love to look back at all the teams ironton has played through the years that have changed divisions. looking at d4 reg. 14 Clinton massie is averaging 51 points a game and has outscored their 4 opponents 204-7------------geeze o pete already.
