This is one of those rivalries where you toss out the records. Ashland had a very good George Washington on the ropes before allowing a kickoff return for the winning score with under a minute to play. Could be that loss took the wind out of their sails in the game against Russell, but Russell is also a rival of the Tomcats. If they couldn't get up for that rivalry, will they be able to get up for Ironton this week? Could get ugly for the Tomcats if they do not come in ready to play. Ironton wins but it will be close if Ashland comes ready to play. If not, may be one of those games that you leave early to beat traffic.

Nope, Ironton this year is undoubtedly the winner of this match up.

Aaron Snyder / The Independent

Lou Piniella and the Cincinnati Reds were still a few weeks from winning the World Series the last time Ashland beat Ironton at Tanks Memorial Stadium

Remember "It is only Ashland" Ironton is dealing with a wounded tomkitten! But since it at the tanks and playing on fake grass look for tiger kittens to pull out a 4th quarter victory

tigerkittens 22

tomkittens 20

This is awful, I'm stuck at work, the firewall won't let me listen to Irontons game on the net. I have to listen to that Dickie guy from Ashland announce the game on the radio.
