Burg freshman
Burg freshman
Different subject. I was wondering if any Burg fan knows how the freshman has done it there first two games? Looks like they have about 20 players out.
Re: Burg freshman
Is there any one out there that can help us out. The freshman teams tell us a lot a future varsity teams.

I think Jackson freshman have won the last few games in this series, but this is a good example of freshman scores not being a good indicator of future varsity scores. Once you combine 2-3 classes at the varsity level, things change.Buckeye-4-Life wrote:I know that Jackson's freshmen pounded them pretty good.

Agree completely. Just an example. Valleys 2012 class, as freshman lost every game except their last one. They beat Minford. But they went 12-1 and made it to the Regional Championship before losing to a good Liberty Union team. These kids mature a lot between freshman, jv and varsity teams.4th n Goal wrote:I think Jackson freshman have won the last few games in this series, but this is a good example of freshman scores not being a good indicator of future varsity scores. This class has come a long way since 7th grade. There are a couple kids in this class that will have a chance to contribute next year at the varsity level at key positions.

This group of 23 kids did very well, they improved each game, lost to Russell, and Jackson... They beat a good Minford Team tonight 42 to 0... Minford beat them last year.. What a diffrence a year can make...
