WK 1-COAL GROVE @ MEIGS

Post by 2trap_4ever »

Looks like this is the last time that the Grove will open with Meigs, according to OHSAA Meigs opens with Gallia Academy in 2015, anyway this game in my opinion is going to end up coming down to the running game and which O-Line wants it more in the 4th quarter. This series has went the way of the Grove with a 4-2 mark over the Marauders, with the average score being Coal Grove 36 Meigs 22. Last years game was determined on conditioning and that is why I say this years game will be on which O-Line and the running game that wants it more.

Coal Grove 28
Meigs 27

I won't predict a shutout because history in this series has shown that defense is not required by either team, just look at last years score 44-46.

I will take the Marauders in a one score game in the high twenties and low thirties. Although Coal Grove and this class of juniors and seniors I am told is a pretty special group of athletes.

Good luck to both teams starting week one injury free.

Coal Grove's strength is their line. They have a nice running back and defensively looked strong in the scrimmage I saw. This would be a huge win for Meigs if they can pull it off. Good luck Marauders.

Meigs will struggle up front against CG, and CG will struggle with Meigs athleticism. Should be a dandy, and I look for some points to go on the board.

I'm pretty sure Meigs won't be shut out (i'd go as far as saying all year). As for the outcome, like most Meigs vs Coal Grove match ups I'm assuming it will be a very close shoot out.

This is the first I've heard but if the Galla vs Meigs game is coming back in 2015 that is pretty exciting!

Meigs boys have worked extremely hard on weights, conditioning and skills. They will be ready for battle with high expectations. Go Meigs!

It's going to come down to conditioning and which team is staying hydrated, feel there will be plenty of leg cramps tonight on both sides. Good luck to both teams and lets pray that leg cramps are the only injury timeouts for the night.
