Just typical NEO weather. Sat thru a title game with Elder & Warren Harding several years ago far worse than this today.

Yes I know all about NEO Ohio weather. I was at that game between Elder and Harding. I was simply talking about the conditions of this particular game.

Congrats to Massie on their 2nd straight State Championship! Not bad for a public school that is from the bad football playing parts of the state (everything outside of NEO obviously)

Final:

CM 27 Mooney 21

This game was a thing of freaking beauty! Both teams pounding on each other running right at each other in a snow storm all game long. Awesome!

Lol, I had Mooney in the pick-em but after Paladong kept chiming in about NEO schools and all the titles they were winning I am sort of glad Massie won...he will disappear for a day or so now until the next NEO team wins lol.

Man, I wish I'd seen this one. Good for Clinton-Massie. Watched St. Clairsville give them a good game in the state playoffs last year.

What did everyone think of the PI call on Mooney late in the 4th?

Looked like the defender had grabbed the receiver with his left arm, but still a tough call, especially on 4th down.

I thought it was kinda weak, but I can see why it was called.

It was a great game though.

I did not get to watch it.....was it anything that affected the play? Often the DB just does unnecessary stuff that itself makes no difference....but then the penalty flag makes the game-changing difference.

I didn't like the call but let's not start saying it was the difference in the game. Would Mooney have driven the length of the field and scored or won in OT? Who knows! Fact is that Massie dominated the 2nd half and deserved the win.

Think we probably would've seen OT if Mooney would've got the stop. Massie controlled the second half though, so I'd say the OT would've favored them.

Good to see the Falcons repeat.

Had nothing to do with the play the DB went up over the receiver and knocked it away. It may not have been the difference but it sure did lean the outcome heavily toward Clinton Massey. At that point you let the kids decide the outcome of the game.
