Paladin's prediction is coming true. Chiefs whip Gallia for a title in the coaches' first season. Most of SEO is WRONG again, lol.

Congrats Chiefs. Take the outright title next week !

Most definitely not a whipping. More like "Christmas in October', but a loss for the Blue Devils nonetheless.

1. Blue Devils going for it on 4th and 25 or so from about their own 25?
2. Blue Devils running into the kicker penalty.
3. Logan receiver at least 1 foot out of bounds in end zone on 2nd or 3rd TD. (Can't remember which one.)
4. Blue Devils muff kick-off.
5. Blue Devils numerous dropped passes.

Granted, these are all mistakes by different individuals, and are all part of the game. But they are gifts nonetheless.

BBall, you were very correct. How did you know?

I think in the 2nd half they were prepared in this game. Just too many stupid mistakes by coaches and players. Bad decisions abound!

The laid-back home crowd and lack of student section also play into the game as well.

Don't take this the wrong way, theres no disrespect intended, but perhaps instead of coming up with a million excuses, maybe try giving some credit to the Chiefs? Just comes off as sour grapes. JMO.

“Christmas in October”, couldn’t have said it better.. First off congrats to Logan, you guys outplayed the Blue and deserved the victory. 4th and 15 inside our 20 and we try a fake punt, are you kidding me? Roughing the punter penalty, another bone headed play that lead to a Logan score.. The scoring pass in the corner of end zone, the officials ruled it a TD, all year we let receivers get behind us and our defenders never looks back for the ball, so that’s on us….You forgot to mention our inability to tackle, there are times our defense looks like they are giving an escort to the ball carrier. Mishandling the kickoff, doesn’t surprise me at all, we never catch the ball in the air, plus the Logan player kicked the ball to the same area all night and we have receivers back on the 10 yard line. I am just a fan and I can see this, what are the coaches seeing? How about the play calling? 30 seconds till halftime, we have the ball on our 10 yard line and instead of taking a knee we throw a pass out in the flat, what are we thinking?? The empty stands and lack of a student section should tell you something about our program. One last comment, I have been following high school football for the last 40 years and have never seen a head coach run out on the field and chest bump a player….. Feel sorry for our players, they deserve better……

To all you logan posters. 78 didn't mean to be disrespectful to Logan. We see GAHS play like this every week and are becoming very frustrated. I am glad to see logan football on the rise because if the SEAOL is going to survive we need our league teams to step up....

Could not be more proud of everyone on the Purple Sideline last night.

Starting with Head Coach Billy Burke, moving to assistant coaches who have bought into the program, and most importantly on to Senior leaders and players who have gone "all in" to RESTORE ORDER, just an amazing season for Logan. The Chiefs have come a long way in a short period of time. This is not the best Logan team or the greatest season ever. But it has been one of the most rewarding. Congrats to a great group of kids and coaches who committed last summer to turning this thing around and doing it.

Great effort defensively, by almost any account Logan's best effort since Nelsonville-York on the "D" side of the ball. Held Gallipolis to season lows for yardage, neutralized Jarrell in a way no one else has done this year. And the offense just did their thing - controlled the Line of Scrimmage, sealed the perimeter, and completed key passes.

These kids and coaches deserve to celebrate a league championship. Now its time to come back home, take care of business, and make sure no one else is celebrating with them.

I hope Chieftain Nation comes out loud and proud on Friday night. Crowd, on both sides of the field, was not good last night. This group deserves an awesome send off for laying a new foundation for Chieftain football.

2013 League Champions. And I think it's onward and upward from here for Coach Burke and staff.

I really hate to say this: but thanks Logan? ..... lol

With Columbus DeSales sneaking into our playoff picture - and projected to be the No. 8 seed by the 'numbers crunchers' - nobody really wants the No. 1 seed in Division III, Region 9.

The difference between No. 1 Marion Franklin and No. 2 Athens right now is miniscule - one little outcome anytime during the season could have swung it (or swing it) either way ... and since the 'Dogs opponents, Nelsonville-York, Jackson, Gallia or Warren never defeated the Chieftains, Athens never got their 2nd level points.

If we stay at the No. 2 - I'll be sure to send your coach a thank you gift ...

I'll second that, Locos. This is not a talented team. Logan has had much better athletes than now. But the kids bought in and allowed themselves to be coached and put in the work needed. Even in the face of adversity when losing the starting QB and having 15 players out with injury, including a team Captain who didn't get to play in many games, the team hung together and responded to the SEOAL challenge. Throw in a very tough non-league schedule and many people had Logan written off for the year. As I predicted and most of SEO missed, a SEOAL Championship goes to Logan. Its a great sign of things to come with the new coach . If losing your QB and suffering massive injuries and still winning the SEOAL was accomplished, what happens when he has better talent, few injuries and non-league teams more evenly matched ? The future looks bright once again.

Congratulations to the team and coaching staff.

Well hell, if we'd have known that we might have thought about sharing the title..... hahaha.

But seriously, I just hope the Chiefs take care of business so another season goes by without Athens beating the SEOAL champion head to head ;-) ;-) ;-)
