I have a 7-3 Coshocton ahead of a 5-4 RH

and surely 1 of the bottom dwellers will run the table and be right there for 8spot

hey who cant root for RH making the playoffs ????? im all for that 1 gotta go all way back to 2007 since they been in

go redmen LOL

gotta throw some burg facts out here also

excluding Jackson

fact 1 burg opponents combined records 7-23

fact 2 burgs opponents offense AVG PPG 14.2 ( when a offensive team shows up LOOK OUT burg )

fact 3 burg gave up 8 pts to fairland ( I just had to get that in there) LOL

cg-ironton fan wrote:I have looked at this after 6 weeks and came up with the following!! and yes you heard it 1st here LOL ( RH has a great chance to make playoffs even with loss to ironton)

1 zane trace (burg if they beat valley)
2 burg/zane trace

3-4-5-6(not sure of exact order too many variables)
Harrison central
ridgewood
rv (must win against either alexander or Athens) 2 loss = more than likely OUT
alexander (must win 1 of big 3 games left rv , trimble, or meigs ) lose all 3 and your OUT

7/8
ironton , rh (very close on points for these spots) (ANY ironton loss=OUT) (RH lose either of last 2 your OUT)

a Coshocton WIN over a 6-0 meadowbrooke would get them IN (highly unlikely) LOSE and you go back to mix at bottom

a 8-2 northwest would get them IN as long as alexander loses all 3 big games!!!! OR rv lose to both alexander and athens

if alexander loses all 3 big games it opens up spot for Coshocton or 1 of the teams I didn't look at

if RV loses to both alexander and Athens it opens up spot for Coshocton or 1 of teams at bottom

I didn't look at any of the following teams ( Minford , wellston, pwest, union local , oak hill , piketon , Tuscarawas valley,,garaway)

this is based on NO MAJOR UPSETS and some good guessing at L2 points

I agree that it will more than likely be a logjam for the 5-8 spots. Coshocton actually has a good chance to beat Meadowbrook. The Colts schedule has been underwhelming to say the least, and not sure when the last time was they actually beat Coshocton. They are more likely to lose to Dover, who is way down this year but Cton has not beating them in about 13 years either. Obviously the winner of the RV/Alex game has the inside track for probably the #5 spot. Rock Hill could very easily stay ahead of Ironton even with a loss to them. Last 4 weeks should be very interesting.

Fact 1 Burg is averaging 40+ppg
Fact 2 Burg has only given up 3TD thus far.
Fact 3 That TD came in garbage time against the 2nd team.

It wouldn't surprise me one bit if burg wins the region. IMO they are the best team in region 17

I am not quite finished with my projections for this region as i worked a double yesterday and working today but i think. If coshocton wins there big game next week and if river valley beats alexander that may leave ironton on outside looking in no matter what they do. but not sure numbers will show that yet.

alexander MUST win 1 of the big 3 games they have (RV, MEIGS , TRIMBLE) do you know if that is possible and who they got best chance against ????

rh / ironton are very close in points I agree!!!

Last 4 weeks will be at least to say interesting, haven't done any math but another tiger loss we will be doomed, just need to take it week by week, coal grove will not be an easy game, neither will rock hill, both will gunning for the tigers, not sure how we look on the injury side. How long till dino is back and how is barker? hopefully no one else is hurt. Good luck TIGERS :12222

this is what i have for week 10 minimums with week 10 divisors.
1.zane trace 10.85
2.harrison central 9.25
3.rock hill 8.63
4.wheelersburg 8.30

6.river valley 6.74
7.ridgeway 5.85
8.coshocton 5.23
9.minford 4.83
10.north west 4.78

this is one set of projections for final. these have harrison central losing once more wheelersburg losing to valley. alexander losing 2 out of 3 big games coshocton losing to meadowbrook. river valley losing both big games and ironton winning out.

1.zane trace 21.25
2.wheelersburg 20.41
3.ridgewood 15.8
4.alexander 15.05
5.harrison central 14.36
6.ironton 13.66
7.rock hill 13.42
8.river valley 12.08
9.coshocton 10.57
10.minford 10.27

will not finish this way. several games this week to begin to clear the picture.

It won't matter where everyone is seeded. Wheelersburg will smoke this region and it won't even be close.

That's true. But I do think Ironton will miss the playoffs completely.

Drew Pasteur's latest update has Ironton with slightly less than a 50-50 chance to make the playoffs, assuming the Fighting Tigers win out.

Last year our Indians won a regional title and played 14 games. We lost to the 2 time defending state champions that were a late blown lead away from 3-peating. Out of those 14 games, Wheelersburg was the best team we played.

This year, the Burg will play at least 14 (IMO) games and I feel for the first 13 of those, Valley will be the best team they play.

I will set the total at 20.5 total points Burg gives up in the Regional tournament.

If ironton don't get into the playoffs this year with all the talent they have will be a shame

Gotta win games. Doesn't matter how much talent they have. They don't judge on talent.

I am reading Pasteur's latest update on Ironton a little differently.

6W: 13.61 (13.05-14.57), 71% in, 1% home, proj. #8 (#4-out)

That says that if they win out to a 6-4 record, they have a 71% chance of making the playoffs.

Kirtland was not the two time defending state champions. They lost to Coldwater in 2012 and beat Wayne Trace in 2013. Still a great team.

You are correct. My bad.

They won it in 2011 and 2013.
