Not sure it's so much it's a down year, or the fact that 2 of their first 3 games have been against ranked and undefeated teams. If you look at their schedule, they don't exactly play any "cupcakes" (except Poca.)

Week 1 - Tolsia; L, 49-34 (now #4 AA)
Week 2 - Sissonville; W, 49-20
Week 3 - #5 Pt Pleasant (AAA); L, 64-8
Week 4 - at Oak Hill (AAA)
Week 5 - BYE
Week 6 - at #6 Mingo Central
Week 7 - Scott
Week 8 - at Hoover
Week 9 - at Poca
Week 10 - #10 Chapmanville
Week 11 - at #2 Bluefield

**rankings reflect current WVSSAC ranking**

I will say this; the score is much more lopsided than I thought it would be.
Point is a tough team, and will make a deep run in playoffs, but I truly thought it would be something more along the lines of Point 34 - Wayne 28, I was very surprised to see the 64-8 score.

Marshall recruit senior Cody Mitchell broke the career rushing mark at PPHS, topping Dusty Higginbotham's late 90s run.

He now has 3369 yards.
