fairland's comeback has been amazing. but I don't look for the hornets to relinquish the crown at this point to anyone. and I think they smashmouth it to the ovc title.

Looks like my 4th coal grove game. Taking Fairland in this one by 1

What happens to either team if they lose as far as playoffs go?

I think both teams make it either way.

I know Coal Grove will still be in. But Martins Ferry isnright behind Fairland and they play Beaver Local this week. If they win that Fairland could be in trouble if they lose

Should be a good close game. Neither team really turns the ball over so whoever does that could be the deciding factor. I believe Cunningham is the difference in this one though. Dragons by 6.

This game comes down to Coal Grove's defense. The run defense is stout, I really do not worry about that but the passing defense has been suspect all year. Gallia moved the ball on us when they started passing. Last week against Ironton the Tigers started moving the ball when they started throwing it. We have to play better pass defense this week or I believe Fairland lights it up against my Hornets.

In my heart I say Hornets by 12, but it is completely up to the defense this week.

The weakness on that Dragon offense is their pass blocking. Lambiotte never has more than 3-5 seconds to get rid of the ball. If they were to take Cunningham away which is possible but a tough task (averaging close to 11 ypc) and they can force fairland to throw if they can get a couple seconds of good coverage they may be alright. I still think Cunningham is the difference in this game though. Receiving, Rushing and just the amount of attention other teams put on him opens things up for Wilcoxon and Lambiotte in the running game.

YOU'RE TIGER BAIT wrote: Mon Oct 16, 2017 6:51 am I wasn't really saying anything about comparing games.i was comparing opponents more than anything. I said they won on the last play meaning fairland, you can't get any more close than that. and although I've not been able to make any, I have listened to them, and as you stated ironton was never in the coal grove game at all. I too think coal grove will be too physical to beat.and coal grove will finish with rock hill. and I think they are peaking at the right time, and they are gonna be a very hard out. but fairland is a very physical team as well.
Bait-
Compare both teams by how they did vs Portsmouth West and Portsmouth. Fairland looks pretty good.

The Grove slay the Dragons on their way to an OVC crown, a 9-1 season, and hosting a home playoff game.

Idk the receiving numbers but I’d say he’s probably got 400-500 yards and 4-5 tds.
