Re: MSL Question
What happened to the 8th team? Logan an option to be picked up?

Re: MSL Question
No idea, when I looked at 2017 still 7 teams, Liberty Union went to Mid-State Ohio in 2017

Re: MSL Question
Liberty Union moved to the Ohio division for football only to help with losses of members to other leagues. This is (so far) supposed to be a temporary move. Ready is also a football-only affiliate of the Ohio division (play a full league schedule, but unlike Liberty Union they are not eligible for the league title). Liberty Union is still in the Buckeye for all other sports.

Re: MSL Question
Also, the Buckeye and Ohio divisions currently have 7 football members each. To fill the missing spot, a team from each division plays a crossover with a member of the other division weeks 4-10.
London is leaving the Ohio division after this season. Buckeye Valley (near Delaware) will join I believe next Fall (maybe 2020).

Re: MSL Question
I know Logan has applied in the past. I also know they have discussed forming a new league and Teays Valley was involved in those talks. Barring a size-based reshuffling of the whole league, I don't see a Logan scenario (I have no direct knowledge personally). The Buckeye division would make sense geographically, but is a division 4 league (other than Teays and Hamilton Twp, A-C is div. 5 this year but will usually be a 4 also). I think Logan is perceived as too big for several members. The Ohio division is too far away I think (a Franklin county league and adding a Delaware county team). It also has smaller teams (Grandview, Academy) as well.

Re: MSL Question
The constituency of the MSL-Buckeye sees their league “fine, as is” and have felt that way for a while now. They don’t see it necessary to add Logan, nor do they see an incentive to.
