thoughts on this one

Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body;
but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming:

This game just might be one of the better games this weekend.

Minford has a couple of superior athletes and hopefully this game signifies the change of tide at Minford not only in non conference play, but conference play as well this year.

Minford surprises a few in a big game to start the season

The jamboree score against River Valley makes me wanna pick Minford. Either River Valley vastly improved or Rock Hill still has some things to work out.

I’ll take Minford by 14.

Rock Hill did not play all their starters, those that did play went out at the half. Rv never scored till late in the 4th against mostly 2nd and 3rd stringers. Rock Hill in a close one.

Minford will have, by far, the most athletic player on the field. And best positional player at their position.

That being said, I just dont see this as being a close game.

Well I don't about that,the Hills skilled players all are 2 and 3 sport athletes . The 0L and DL play decent they will suprise a few people? Gonna be down a Sr. RB but for a change they have depth!!

Bob Bowen's " mighty Minford Falcons" take this one. (My favorite local sportscaster in the tri-state area as a young'un).

Last I checked they didnt have any D1 athletes. Big difference. I guess we will find out how this one shakes out in 2 days!

Rock Hill’s varsity played 3 quarters, just like River Valley’s. Don’t get it twisted. When the Jv came on, both varsities left the field. They started their varsity, it’s okay to be a little upset that things didn’t go your way.

Good point,but it takes more than one player to beat a team of eleven.
