Portsmouth has looked decent against the run and suspect against the pass. I'm sure West will key on Parker so it may depend on our lines ability to protect Roe and get him enough time to find open receivers. I think we should have a much improved passing game as our line and qb have progressed from the scrimmage to the 2nd half of the Valley game. If we keep building on that pass game holes will open for Parker and we should be competitive with most teams.

Portsmouth’s QB didn’t look too bad against Valley. That line needs some work though. West will key in on Parker and if they stop him, they’ll get the win. West 28 Portsmouth 14

Throw the ball to open up the run game for Parker. Every team going in is going to shadow Parker until Portsmouth shows they can have another playmaker that can move the ball. What I read and heard the QB did well for first start. That might be what Portsmouth needs!!!

Every team Portsmouth plays will key on Parker. And with the passing game it’s going to help Parker. The line will shape up. 1st game is always the toughest on new kids. Portsmouth has open receivers almost every play. We learn some 3 steps and quick releases it will help out. I like the way Portsmouth offense is heading. With change there will be headaches.

Valleys game plan was to key on parker, it's not a secret every team Portsmouth plays is going to key on parker , I'm thinking coach kalb knows it to lol.

I would like to see purdy take some handoffs from the back field, he is quick

I thought ty Pendleton did excellent when he ran. He got positive yards. And he just went north and south.

Portsmouth found that 2nd dimension of their offense. Trojans win it this year.

I have confidence west will be able to slow parker down. They shut him down last year to basically nothing. The only worry is offensively I think we are going to have a tough time this year. Look for a big special teams play and I'm gonna take a close game in the 4th going to west at the Rock. Very competitive rivalry game for the past 20 years.

Portsmouth’s passing game was really solid against Valley, I assume they’ll just build off that. Michael Duncan was huge from the TE position. Portsmouth needs to find a way to get Parker involved, get him the ball in space. Sure West will key on Parker, so that means McCoy and Pendleton need a few more carries imo. The Trojans defense was really solid against the run week 1, West may have a tough time getting things going on the ground. This is definitely a winnable game for Portsmouth, I honesty think it’s a must win myself if you think about down the road for playoffs. Hoping for good weather on Friday. Go Trojans!

This is a toss up. Everyone will key on Parker but how many will be successful, he had what 4 or 5 td’s against valley. There’s gotta be some hidden yardage there somewhere. I like the progression Ptown qb has shown.
Closer than the experts say
Portsmouth 21 west 20

Don't know much about Portsmouth but Parker is obviously really good. Must make them earn it and limit the big plays.

West is really young. Probably the youngest team West has put on the field since 1999 or 2000 with several freshmen seeing substantial playing time and starting. They are doing well but will make mistakes at times. Hopefully they hang in there.

West lost a lot of talent of last years team. With everyone not knowing much about KIPP. I’m interested to see the score in this one and how it turns out.

The lack of talk about this game makes me sad. It used to get 8-10 pages deep. This is a huge game for both teams!

I think last weeks game scared us too much. I haven’t made a prediction. I know what the boys are capable of but the 1st game jitters was rough. Hopefully they know what to expect now. Calm the nerves and play football.

Portsmouth is going to see another very good d-line and defense against the run this week. West has some youngster on defense but their pretty darn good football players. I think this game is going to depend how the youngsters hold up. Should be a good one.

It breaks my heart to say this, but I see P-town as the favorite this time around!

Should be a really good game. Last year the veteran led Senators won 13-0, can the Trojans who are senior strong do the same this year? Agree with a comment above. Need to get Parker in space, some jet sweeps and stuff would possibly work out well.
