I doubt the Falcons will have another outing like E.Clinton. This was probably the best week of practice they've had, and boy do I feel sorry for West. Look for Minford to be laser focused and to take out their frustrations scoring early and often.

Methodical by Minford. Seemed like they wanted to try different things instead of doing what they do best. Journey kid from West is tough.. solid game but just outmatched

Good win by the Falcons. Started off like they had a bit of a hangover from the burg game last week, but eventually was able to get things going to go in 26-7 at the half. Minford took the 2nd half kickoff right down the field and made it 33-7. From there, they put it on cruise-control to coast through the 2nd half. Drove to the 5-yard line with 3:00 left in the game, put the JV-backs in and ran it between the tackles to end the game.

I like having Risner kick the X-points. I will say that Minford better clean up the nonsense penalties, or Waverly will make easy work of them. Some of the penalties were just boneheaded, showed a lack of discipline, and It wasn't b/c of West throwing cheap shots. I suspect the coaching staff, after they watch the film, will have a few running extra sprints after practice this week.

West competed well. Ran the ball well. Turnovers hurt. West never quit which is good to see.
