Geez. How about taking this a week at a time? No reason for them to jump the gun on this when they are still kicking the idea around to have spring sports.

I think we are putting the cart before the horse on this. I think the OHSAA needs to let this play out and see what it looks like in mid June, then start talking about the fall sports season when we get closer to conditioning time.

Fearmongering.
Yes, there is a virus. The media and government have everybody scared more than they should be all for their own political gains.

I see Chump using this as much as he can to his advantage and will go as far to say anyone in the federal gov doing this would not shock me.

It is not just Trump. It is the Media also trying to get Trump out. All political. More people will suffer from their escapades than the actual virus.

This may be or not be true. While we wait I pray for a divided country to find itself again. I pray that while we don’t have sports maybe people will rethink why we have sports. I pray that we awaken from the mess we have created for ourselves and rise above it and truly become great again.

We might see a delay in fall sports due to late spring practicing. I can see a one game delay but if more needed the first couple might be cancelled. Could only see teams with eight wins at the most getting into the playoffs.

No matter what the starting date may be or if there is a starting date ample time as in the past will need to be in place for preseason conditioning. If not there will be an abundance of injuries. by not being physically ready to play

Why do you think that?

Do your research..

"the U.S. is in "Phase 1" of a four-phase pandemic, explaining that the American public should only focus on successfully social distancing from group activity at this time, while health officials ramp up testing and the infrastructure of hospitals to treat at-risk patients. If a city or state is able to record a sustained decline in new cases for 14 days, Gottlieb's report suggests that they can move onto "Phase 2," in which schools and businesses may reopen, although remote activities should continue if possible and gatherings should still be limited to fewer than 50 people."

It's very possible we could be in Phase 2 by May.. As stated, we can always go back to phase 1 if need be but we can't just hunker down until phase 4. That would be detrimental to the economy and hurt more people than the virus has..

The only thing being forgotten is with pandemics there is almost always a second wave and most studies have that second wave during the fall. Fall sports season will truly be a wait and see. Could possibly be an abbreviated season, 5-6 games. We have to wait and see what kind of second wave this virus has coming.

Reminder - death is not the only outcome. Many thousands are maimed for life with scared and inflamed lungs. Many of the dead are YOUNG and old who did not know they had an underlying health problem. Many spend months in a hospital recovering. Kids suffer greatly from a rash making them very sick.

Yet the foolish and selfish persist.
