Never like going into the playoffs where your #1s haven't seen the 4th quarter. Hopefully the scheduling doesn't hurt them to much and coaches will push them up in the rankings come playoff time to get a more favorable schedule to start.
Sucks no wellston vs jackson. FAC is awful and Wellston looks really good
Jackson would put running clock on any TVC team

Wellston would definitely be the best team on their schedule. FAC is horrible.Schedule can’t be helped though.

Yes the golden rockets need much praise. They are good football team. A very good football team. And agree they would be one of the better opponents they Ironmen would have had a schedule but they are not. They opted out of that lopsided series. But to say they would be the “best” team in Jackson schedule is not fully 100% accurate. The Burg and escpailly Licking Valley. Would have something to say about Wellston being the beat opposition the Ironmen would face. Tha Burg is the Burg and coukd best anyone at anytime. State Champions etc. licking Vallet is the real deal Holyfield. Now. Wellston is good. And I cannot wait to see their showdown with a fort frye. BUT. What makes the difference between Tha Burg Licking Valley and Wellston fightin over who’s to claim the toughest opponent for the Ironmen is the
Fact that Licking Vally and Tha Burg are good and they good yerr see in and year out from a program that is solid all the Time
year in and year out. . Yes coach smith has started to get the program to be that. But to say they would be the hardest oooo the Ironmen would face is a tad far fetched. So happy for the golden rockets to be heading the way they are heading. But make no mistake about. Jackosn reigns King.

always have

Always will

When comparing Jackosn/Wellston

Ironton did the same to Jackson last year in the jamboree game. Ironton is just on a different level than the rest of the area

The kids on the Ironmen squad would like to have a word with you about that.

Well considering Wellston and Jackson played the the final was Jackson 23-6, not a running clock, that's if you're going off of last year. I think Jackson is improved upon last years team.

I agree i velieve jackson and ironton are both better this year than last i guess jackson/wellston might be closer because its more of a rivalry game

IMO just as an outsider with no dog in the fight, yes Jackson would demolish the whole TVC and Ironton would control Jackson easily this year. Realistically, Ironton is easily a top 4 contender in D5 and Jackson is probably near the lower end of top 25 in D3. ( With all schools eligible, no harbin systems and coaches seeding regions this year it will be a crap shoot in the playoffs. As of today with all teams in one pot per Eitel, Wheelersburg is #1 statewide in D5 but I also think Ironton which is currently #4 would handle them easily. Jackson is tied for #35 in D3 with 11 one loss and 2 two loss teams ahead of them. We should know in a couple weeks , who opted in and out of the playoffs.

I’ve said this before and I’ll say it again.... this year and next years Jackson football teams will be among the best in school history. The kids who are juniors this year are a phenomenal class of football athletes. Mix in the younger kids (such as the talented freshman running back) and others and this team, and next years team, have a shot to go as deep, if not deeper, into the playoffs as any JHS team ever has.

If Jackson is seeded high enough @ 6-0 and after regions are situated after next week they could eventually draw a 3-3 Hartley team in rd. 1 of the playoffs. Hartley has lost to Moeller and DeSales already and plays DeSales twice in their 6 game regular season along with Bishop Watterson twice. That would be an interesting matchup.
