That was a major difference in this game. It was also a key difference in 2018.

The better team won. You get no points for moving the ball, only for scoring. The Tigers have a terrific D and it showed. While Brungard the QB is the star, the D won this game for them tonite. While FF held him down somewhat, they overlooked the Tigers D.

That was the ball game.

ALL of SEO teams need to have FG kickers. Bloom missed 2 and FF one tonight for sure.

I bet Springfield doesn’t think that! Actually the better won, Springfield made plays when they needed to and the almighty Fort Frye didn’t.
Springfield won for sure, anyone who watched that game knows who had the better team

Rare talent. Very few teams ever have good kickers and it’s a weapon in high school football

The confidence apparently was very low in the place kicking game as evidenced by the judgement of FF after a penalty on the XP try that the chances of taking a lead was better trying to run it in rather than kick it thru! The clock management at the end of the 2nd half was unfair because there apparently is no provision in the rules to stop the play clock when they can't get the ball back and spotted after an incomplete pass thru the endzone until there are only 6 sec left on the play clock. That caused FF to use their last time out to argue the point and stop the clock. Using the last time-out took the run option off the table and resulted in no TD, again, and also demonstrated the lack of faith in Kicking it thru to put it to OT. Great game!

Are you STILL salty that we didn't pick Wellston to beat Fort Frye? Where have you been for the last month?

These comments are comical. Tigers didn't have a terrific defense, time management is what killed ff. The hatred for ff outside of our community is a joke. Ff didn't overlook their defense, ff ran and threw it down their throat. No doubt you don't score any points for yards gained, but ff had the better players and team. Misuse of time outs and the clock is what killed the cadets. Another great job by the players and staff, but feel sick for them because they were the better team

You're right. There aren't many. I wonder if Fairland's kicker would prefer to wear red, white, and blue next year . . . :)

Fort Frye was killed at the end when they had to use there last timeout. The camera guy throws the ball it hit goal post and by the time we got it only 5 seconds left on play clock. Cadets game plan worked perfect Beau Brungard was held without a Td. Just left to many points off the board. 3 possessions inside the 10 no points.

Three goal line stands. Major win for the D. Coulda, woulda, shoulda. FF had their chance. Springfield D won the game.

You said they didn’t have chance if they were listening to you they shouldn’t even show up. You’re a lame.

I said, if it’s close one, Springfield wins. If they don’t stop Brungard, it will be a rout. Read my post. I, was, of course, correct.
