Pretty even teams. The key was when VC was up 21-14 late in the 3rd and had the ball inside the ZT 10 yard line. They did not score. A couple of penalties and they failed on fourth and goal from the 8. When ZT went up 28-21, a couple penalties killed VC again. Then, ZT stuffed them on 4 and 1. I think both teams will have decent seasons. Neither team's league is very strong this year.

This game needs played every year. Good luck to ZT moving forward.

I was surprised at the amount of fans there honestly. Obviously Ive not been to a ZT/VC game since they haven’t played football since 1992. The stadium was at capacity. I stood on the fence line. Definitely a great game/atmosphere and I would love to see this become a yearly meeting. VC plays Unioto, has played SE and Piketon in recent history. Honestly I would be fine with VC playing their first 3 non conference games against SVC opponents.

Only problem with that is VC is much bigger than every school in the SVC except Unioto. If looking to take the program a next step forward, beating small D4-D5 schools might not accomplish much.If your looking for an easy travel and big gate, head down to 93 to Jackson.

VC in not that much bigger. ZT was D4 just a couple years ago.
They played each other in the same Pee Wee Football league for years.
