Let’s see if Unioto Does. They were already in Huntington.
Re: Week 5 Cancellations
People don’t have a clue. If Waverly Schools had a 40% case rate that would be around 600-700. There isn’t anywhere near that in the entire County let alone in the 4 schools. Positive cases is not the issue of Waverly going to virtual learning. They had a 39% contact tracing absentee and most of that was coming from the elementary buildings. My guess would be there is a handful of positive Covid cases. There is not an issue in the High School and certainly not with the football team who has taken precaution after precaution to avoid this virus and play football.MasterOfNone wrote: ↑Mon Sep 13, 2021 3:02 pmWaverly does not have a 40 percent case rate within the district, know your factsFirst and Goal wrote: ↑Mon Sep 13, 2021 2:55 pm Their looking for someone without a 40 percent case rate in their school district.

Re: Week 5 Cancellations
If teams can play it needs to happen. The dodging and looking for games seems silly. Expanded playoffs you are probably getting in. Poor waverly has 2 straight cancelled. High schools must think they are Alabama. Portsmouth is all remote and has not missed a game and game Friday is on. Seems to be a cop out excuse.

Totally agree. I worked with many of the administrators and ADs in the FAC and they seem to look down on teams south of Rt 50.Beergogglebluez wrote: ↑Mon Sep 13, 2021 5:49 pm If teams can play it needs to happen. Waverly had 3 games scheduled with the FAC and will only get to play one. I was hoping they could argue two league championships!
Re: Week 5 Cancellations

They couldn’t play HS team on Friday but can play Jr High the following Thursday although nothing has changed.

Like saying that you live in one town, when you really live in another? Just to avoid having to sit out at your 5th school?
