Everyone has been looking forward to this one for quite some time, it has the makings of a very good ballgame. Hope both teams have an injury free game.

Wow! This one would be great one too watch. I think I have to give a slight edge to the Dragons being at home and on grass. Pulling for the Trojans though.

It’s hard to bet against Roe.

Portsmouth has to stop the Run which I think will be a problem.
Roe and his many targets along with his feet keep Portsmouth in any game if he plays well. Fairland seems to play to their opponents level. Hard to really gauge them.

I think it’s foolish to compare vs west.

I’ve seen two completely different west teams so far and all 3 teams are built differently.

I wish the Waverly/Burg game and this game were Friday/Saturday games.

I’ll take Portsmouth by 7 because I believe in Roe and a player like that only gets better with every snap. He is a predator and a winner.

Good Luck!

Fingers crossed that Trojan fans make the trip to Fairland! Crowd can be a huge boost for a team so lets fill those infamous away stands lol This game has the potential to be one of the best regular season games this year. BIG game for Portsmouth's postseason.

Has Fairland faced a pass first offense this season?

Great game. Best QB in the OVC vs the best running back in the OVC. Playing at Fairland is tough. Hoping Portsmouth pulls the W.

Anyone else worried about contracting West Nile from the Fairland visitor bleachers lol? Maybe rabies from some bats in the trees. At least the field is in immaculate condition.

I said this before….Fairland Has The Worst Facilities In The OVC And Possibly Southern Ohio. Being One Of Wealthiest School Districts In Lawrence County You Would Think They Would Have Much Better Facilities For The Kids. They Definitely Deserve It!!

Fairland might have to slow this game down to win. Portsmouth can score and score quick.

Was not impressed with them against West. The defense wasn’t great. Against Ironton I was impressed, defense was pretty stout. Portsmouth has only been tested once, by a really good Waverly team. A game they could have won. I think Fairland may get the Trojans this week. Not sure either team is much better than the other. But I think line play will favor the Dragons and probably be the deciding factor. I hope I’m wrong, because this would be a big win for the Trojans. Side note I hate Fairland visitor stands. Lol
We do too, god luck.

Fairlands needed better facilities for 30+ years now. I played as a dragon 13-14 years ago and it was bad then. Coach Cunningham and his kids deserve an upgrade but you can’t get enough people in the community behind it.

I’ve never been to Fairland. Judging from these post I’m a tad nervous to go, but I’m going to make my first trip on Friday night. I think this will be a close game. Possibly the last team with the ball wins type of game. Fairland is going to pound it on the ground, Portsmouth is going to air it out. Rain most of the week, field will probably be in not great condition. I’ll still take the Trojans 34-29

Just set on the home side, we’re always welcoming to the away fans.
