Seemed like VV might run away with it but some good halftime adjustments and turning up the intensity. Good luck next week against Massie and keep playing like you did in the second half.
Don’t know what they did in the locker room at halftime but they need to do that before the game….

Most bizarre difference of the season.

Idk if it’s because of the fans crowd noise or what but we can’t keep doing this. I was hoping burg was the wake up call.

Very Lucky to come out with the win. Idk if I want to say lucky because the defense was dominant in the 2nd half but that was a nice sized hole.

Need to keep giving Penn and Will more jump balls in single coverage. They are each over 6’4 and athletes as well. Extremely hard to defend without penalties or big plays. Was irked when we had the ball within 2 yard line and didn’t throw one fade when stopped late in game.

Bread and butter passing or implement a few plays from under center but we can’t keep losing points that close to the goal line.

If they don’t play two halves like the 2nd half then next week will be very ugly.

Reflecting back on this one I think the Tigers came out the 2nd half and just smacked them in the mouth, took it to them physically.
As terrible as the Tiger offense was in the first half the Waverly defense kept them in it, giving up one TD and a FG.
I really don’t remember the first half being that much of a physical beat down style game but the second half Waverly came out and decided this wasn’t the way the season was ending and just physically took over, both offensively and defensively. The DEFENSE completely took over that 2nd half while the offense got it together.

JUST A GREAT GREAT REGROUPING AT HALFTIME AND A TIGER TEAM DECIDING “THIS ISNT THE WAY IT ENDS”.

This was no fluke. Waverly was the better team from the get go. Just needed to get going. That offense is awesome when it’s on.

That was one of the best teams Waverly has faced all year. Valley View could have been a nine-win team coming into this. Their record definitely wasn't reflective of the team. Hopefully, Waverly can continue to gain traction and respect in Region 16.

Yeah it’s been a season of the on/off button. At this point it’s more of their identity than a problem to fix. 3 games this year have been played for Waverly being on the whole game. Portsmouth(scrimmage) Miami Trace, Minford.

That’s why you see every Waverly poster frustrated saying Waverly can do this and that and they didn’t play well.

If they played with the on switch even with turnovers and bad bounces etc., they should be undefeated.

That’s why games are played. Wheelersburg game was very disappointing because it shouldn’t take much to be ready for that game. Wheelersburg has a good defense as usual but aren’t as lethal this year as in years past. Waverly played a dang quarter of offense. Wheelersburg did a great job of keeping their opportunities limited but still way too many blown opportunities. Punt Return and missed coverage/one strike accounted for 14 points. Waverly was lucky it was as close as it was.

Just had a chance to watch this game the way Waverly looked in the 2nd half was very very impressive. If they play like that for 2 half’s they can definitely win this region pretty physical for a primarily passing team

No excuse for the Wheelersburg debacle (biggest game of the year), and after playing like the Tigers did the following week against Minford you’d think they would be ready to roll into the playoffs playing at home. The first half was as ugly as it gets with the exception of the defense but then the 2nd half was as dominant as it gets.
WAVERLY NEEDS TO PUT 4 QUARTERS TOGETHER LIKE THAT 2nd HALF NEXT FRIDAY AT MASSIE!
