Burg beat Wood on 3 big plays and got 2 turnovers in Burg territory, as well as dodged bullet with Tingle breaking his ankle 1st series of 2nd half. Burg also played clean game with no turnovers. If Burg can create or catch same type of breaks next week they absolutely can win the game.

Hate to hear that about Tingle! I knew his ankle had to be bad the way he was hobbling but still tried to come out and play. What a gamer!!! Hope he heels up from the injury. Great player.

No it’s not easy, but they beat Portsmouth twice this season! I’ll also add with a freshman 3rd string quarterback and numerous other starters out hurt.
Yeah but the score was a lot closer the second time around. Ironton is definitely the favorite don’t get me wrong. Even if they do win I really can’t see the score being like it was the first meeting.
Ironton had 2nd string QB against Portsmouth who played those tough first 4 games of the year though QB3 a freshman had to walk out and win 2 playoffs games in his first start it’s impressive that they’ve won but it wasn’t because of the QB play
QB played fine. Made some mistakes, as you’d expect from a frosh, but made big throws in 4th down on both first half scoring drives.

Never said he didn’t play fine just don’t believe they won the game because of him that’s all not a knock on the kid it’s ok he has a great defense to help him learn along the way

I think RH is 5700 and Portsmouth is 5500. Parking situation at Portsmouth is better, not sure they’d take that into account.
Yeah neither parking situation is great at all, still thinking Lucasville Valley they've been used to hosting a lot over the years, 4700 capacity with excellent parking capacity. Now with the bypass up makes for a easy trip for both teams.
Where do you park when you come to Portsmouth?
Usually end up trying to find something on a side street.

Ironton playing a good passing offense 2 of the last 3 weeks will help them a lot in this game and we already know the run defense will show up definitely both teams will have under 20 I believe but ironton is capable of scoring 3 times if they are not starting 1st and 20 or 2nd and 18 and all that non sense

Sammons, kicker for the Burg could be the difference maker in this, Not only by kicking FG's but his punting has been incredible during the playoffs. Last night he punted the ball down to the 5 yard line making RW have to go 95 yards for the win. Pinning a team deep in their own territory is HUGE in a game like this. Changes there whole mindset on play calling.

Going to be a very long week in anticipation of this game.

There is parking all around the high school. 3 big lots ,also behind the library and church right across the street is big lots right behind them.

If you dont want to walk a block the church on waller and 9th charges 3 bucks right beside the field, although its not that big so you would need to get there early

Should be an epic, 2 teams that know each other well and 2 great defenses.

Agree Jackson would be perfect for both crowds. And I don’t think there is a better place to watch a football game is southern ohio.
