Should win fairly easily I believe but not entirely certain. Russell lost to Boone County last week but I don’t know a thing about them. They play @Raceland tonight…should get somewhat of a better read on them after tonight.

From what I understand, Russell muffed the opening kickoff return last week. It led to an early score for Boone County.

Russell was 8-16 for 127 yards passing.

Russell will be well coached but doubt they are deep or dynamic enough to hang with Wheelersburg this year. Could be a grind for a half or more, but I like Wheelersburg by 2-3 scores.

After seeing Raceland Russell score, going to update to Wheelersburg by as many scores as they want.

Raceland absolutely destroyed Russell last night and Ashland the Week before... I don't know if Raceland is THAT GOOD Or if Russell is Down.

But I say the Pirates cruise to a Victory by 2 or 3 Scores.

Raceland is really good. Burgs defense did not allow an offensive score when they scrimmaged Raceland. Burg wins as long as they don’t play sloppy

Pass defense will need to step it up…looked good in the scrimmage against Raceland and decent against ironton but took a step (or two) back against McNick…Russell burnt Raceland a couple times early on so they are capable.

Different type of passing attack. Looked a lot like Waverly. Hard to defend when the team has athletes.

true. but no wheelersburg players are of legal drinking age. even so, burg gets east win 49-7

Now is where I expect the Burg offense to get some momentum and confidence built up behind that offense

Burg just needs to keep focus and keep improving and the coaches are going to continue to put players in positions where they will be able to improve just like last year and Go Burg!!
