Licking Valley should have 3 more wins, for some reason not typical of a Valley team kept getting penalties in the red zone that cost them a few games.I think the Defense being so young has now grown up and this should be a good game. Watching them play the only team that had there way with them was West Holmes for 2 reasons, 1st they are a very good team and 2nd the young D was not staying at home and got burned. They have got better on this. Good luck to both teams and let's hope no one gets hurt. Pride in the Red helmet!!

Coach Baughman has built one of the best and toughest programs in East Central Ohio. They aren’t as good as they have been in recent years but the LCL Big School Division was extremely tough. Valley is battle tested as they have played d3 r11 1 seed Sheridan, d4 title contender West Holmes, d2 r7 4 seed Watkins Memorial, and playoff hosts Granville and Lima CC. I am sure Coach Baughman will have them ready to play.

I don’t know much about Gallia other than they appear to be Jekyll and Hyde, playing with Ironton (even if Ironton overlooked them Gallia still had to show up to play) but also losing a headscratcher to Rock Hill. They also have good wins over Fairland, Coal Grove, and Portsmouth.

Gallia has put up more points this year, but Valley seems to have the better defense. Shootout goes to Gallia, Low-scoring goes to Valley. I’ll take Valley 27-21.

licking valley is too tradition rich that even if young. they aren’t totally down. which is bad news for this region. LV causing this much havoc at such a young age just put this region on notice for the next few years.

one thing i don’t like for both Licking valley and Gallia Acadeny that is this game has to be played at GA home field.

GA getting to host a state playoff game in that dump.
what a great opportunity for Gallia Academy to have showcased a nice new football facility amongst that beautiful school campus and setting. and too bad for the folks of Licking Valley for one , not getting to see Gallia Academy’s awesome school campus and setting but two , having to play in that hole.

This is indeed a rematch of the 2018 game in which LV absolutely dominated the LOS and came in far better prepared. Also the year our field was a mess so we chose to play at Jackson as the home team. 2018 GA team had good skill players but the line was not good. GA has to tackle well and continue to play disciplined football. Win the TO battle and make plays on special teams to win. A game for sure, no room for unforced errors and mental lapses. IMO, licking valley can compete with any team in this region on a given night.

Lots of tradition in that "hole". If you don't like it, don't come down. Memorial Field is where the Gallia Academy Blue Devils play football, get over it.

agree again! the problem is, it’s been terrible for 40 years and they just don’t do anything about it. embarrassed for the kids because over the past 40 years they have had good teams that deserve better
