Impressive win. Happy for Jones and the entire team for the impressive bounce back. Next week is a winnable game if the team stays focused and plays to their potential.

No non troll had Pirates on upset alert, but I didn’t think it would be this easy. Nice work from Wheelersburg. With Barnesville’s schedule and them struggling with Piketon, hard not to see Wheelersburg as the favorite next week, even on the road.

Congrats Burg on the win!! Heath didn't know what him them as they were down 28-0 at the end of the first qtr.

What the radio had was Burg had 36 rushes for 299 yards and Jones was 8-10 for 160 I think. Whatever it was pretty impressive throws by him. Burg plays like they did tonight Region 19 just got a little tougher.

Hope to see a West-Ironton and Harvest Prep-Burg final 4 in this region. Would be some dandy games!!

The radio had the Burg with 36 rushes for 299 yard and 8/10 passing, all in the first half, for 129 yards for 428 total.

Jones threw 3 TD's and ran for 2 more, one of those scampers for 60+ yards

Heath had 22 for 108 rushing and 13/21 for 81 passing.

No individual stats for any players.

Loved the play-calling tonight for Burg’s offense. Jones is at his best when he throwing vertical routes. For some reason, he struggles on the underneath stuff and out routes. Even if incompletions happen, the vertical passes loosen up defenses and help the running game. Tonight, Jones was hitting those throws and it made Burg’s offense unstoppable.

Best game Burg played all year and seemed like their intensity was back that was somehow missing in Valley and West games. Feel like Burg can win next week at Barnesville and could give Harvest Prep all they want if they play like they did tonight.*

Wonder why they scored so fluently vs a #13 seed but struggled last week vs a significantly higher ranked team in region? Ya sure it's all improvement and not easier comp? Suddenly the offense came alive or the offense faced way less resistance? Lol

Asterick.
Burg’s lost 3 games against 3 really good teams with combined records of 30-3. Even if the competition lacking tonight, they can play with anyone left in Region 19. Doesn’t mean they’ll win the Region, but I guarantee the players and coaches believe they can win it.*

Heath is the #11 seed. West is the #5 seed which is not significantly higher than Burg who is the #6 seed. I’m sure you could watch the replay on YouTube. The Pirates had success through the air tonight to add to their run game. So yes, their offense came alive tonight.

Your jagoff fanbase has claimed since week 2 they are gonna knock Ironton outta the playoffs again in regional play. So I am gonna hold em to that expectation. You are expected to be better than #1 in region at all times. Your own fans say so. Funny thing is the facts say both highly ranked r19 teams on ya schedule beat ya. I'm not sold.
