Yeah I can. His name is Ty Perkins and he was one on one.

They put a clinic on tonight and showed they wasn’t paper Tigers you have to defend all aspects of their offense and the Defense was unreal.
Never thought they would shut this team out.
They are scary good if not great.

Rumors earlier in season that he was dinged up resulting in limited carries. Not sure if that still the case or not.

As for this game, Ironton peaking at right time and look like a favorite to win State.*

#PenTon is playing chess at a strategic level.

When he needs 6-7 running backs, he’ll put’em in!

STILL HOLDING that deck of cards CLOSE TO CHEST!

It’s very possible for Ironton to win the State in DV this year. Wheelersburg exposed something that surprisingly was a weakness in HP’s defense: getting to the edge and keeping it outside of the hashes. Perkins is a stud. Period. They haven’t had to use the running game as much but kept it balanced on the ground and in the air.

They get Valley View next Friday at Princeton High School. Valley View avenged their regular season loss to Milton-Union. I think Ironton will be very well prepared for Valley View. If they get past them, I think they will face South Range who played second fiddle a lot to Kirtland in the same region for quite some time. South Range is very good this year as they have been for quite some time now. I do firmly believe that Ironton has a legitimate chance at bringing home a state championship to Southern Ohio and that’s something to rally around as a region.

I don’t think they’ll have much trouble with Valley View and then would expect a dog fight for the championship vs. most likey South Range….good luck Tigers!

Perkins has done that to quite a few defensive backs this season.
For anyone having any doubt about what Perkins is capable of, I really wish that you would have had the opportunity to watch him play against the Ironmen these past two seasons. Not only as a receiver, but as a defensive back and a kickoff returner as well.

Harvest preps game plan was awful. Hopefully this puts to bed how good their so called coaches were. A bunch of hype. Ironton smartly took advantage.

You really think the fans control the offensive personnel?

Why do you think this game will be at Princeton? I would think Chillicothe would be close to equal distance while Lancaster is exactly 1 hour 55minutes from both schools. Can’t get any more equal then that.

The more Perkins dominated, the less help the corners got. To leave him 1 on 1 on 3rd and goal from the 20 is so bad.

Preps first mistake was putting a 5ft 5 person to guard Perkins. I was impressed with prep’s qb, he wasn’t afraid to run. Valley view will key on Perkins but they have other really good receivers. Carpenter played lights out as well.
