Like I said waverly with too much strength at the end of the day. Expected this one. On to week 3 for the Pioneers.

Not sure why the kid threw 17 td last year with 1 int. Zt is going through some growing pains with a new coach and new system. Injuries are killing them hard right now on the offensive line. Two seniors down and another junior limping around. They had freshman playing tonight on the line. Zt lacks depth already and these injuries are killing them.

The game was 14-21 points throughout.
It was the Waverly running attack, not so much passing.

Hurd with a great game as he made his own holes by his quickness. The blocking for the tigers wasn’t real good in my opinion and they ran a cover 6 defense. Saying run it which we did and did well. Zane Trace with no adjustments to stop the run. Worked out well for the tigers. Nice win

Believe he was right around 300 and 4 scores on 30 carries.

Great turn around week for the Tigers, been a tough week with school starting up and practice schedule being all over the place. ZT for most of the 1st half seemed like a team that prepared to stop the pass and simply thought they'd be able to handle the run. Even once they started run blitzing their blitzers were coming in so hard it opened up lanes and gave Hurd a ton of running room.

Defense played fairly well and probably got hit with more points than they should've. 100% that was a fumble at the end of the game where ZT scored their final score and offensively when we had a 3 score lead we continued to go way up-tempo. If you're running the ball like we were there's zero reason the ball should be snapped with 20 seconds on the play clock. That's on coaching but Waverly could've killed the clock in a big way and limited the amount of time the defense spent on the field. All in a all a very complete game defense has to clean-up the big penalties can't have I believe it was 4-5 15 yarders throughout the game. One helped keep a drive going on what was a 3rd and 30 down.
