I agree. You seemed to trigger one of the blue fellas
You agree because small town red america is undereducated. Which is part of the reason why they are broke.
That’s not true. Texas and Florida are red states, and both are booming. New York, California, and Illinois (the big blue states) are financial messes. So your red/blue comments with regards to “broke” are false.

As for feeling safe at games, it really depends.
- Safe at Ironton, Burg, or Jackson? Absolutely.
- Safe at Portsmouth or West? Absolutely not.

Race is not the factor.

We can go back and forth on this all day. I can show you stats about California and Illinois that’ll make your head explode.

California, New York, and Illinois are running massive state deficits while their populations are on the decline.

Regarding murder rates, there is a misperception, though. Many red states have high murder rates. But, it's because of the large blue cities in those states.

Break it down to cities, and you see that these blue voting cities dominate the murder statistics.

Back to the topic at hand. I do feel safe going to a high school football game. Most of them have some form of security. Whether it’s the local police department or the sheriff’s department having a presence there. Are there evil people out there? Absolutely. But I feel that our area is pretty safe for the most part.

LOL!! Did you actually read that article before posting? It didn’t prove what it claimed. Basically just tried to twist and explain the numbers away. Democrat ran cities are the leaders in murder rates. The numbers are the numbers despite how hard the liberal meeting spins it.

Why do you think people are leaving California, New York, and Illinois in droves? No one wants to pay high taxes while living in high crime areas.

This has zero to do with politics and everything to do with a changing cultural landscape. Very few homes across the US have 2 parent homes, or a strong upbringing prior to entering the public or private education system. Then, many of these kids don’t have a safe/healthy home environment or even neighborhood. This transcends all cultures and ideologies in the US currently. It’s an issue that we as a society need to address. We shouldn’t be getting caught up on red or blue, paper or plastic, or Chevy or Ford. What’s important is for us to build a strong ethical and moral conviction back into our society.
As for going to a game at the high school level? Yes. Even if it does happen to be in a rougher part of town.

Living in the city you know what one of the 1st things I noticed was?

An awful lotta kids from those nice "safe" neighborhoods come here tryna cultivate themselves some not so "safe" stuff & end up less than "safe" back in their "safe" neighborhoods.

That's when they create neat little titles like "epidemic." It's an "epidemic" because the "safe" feel less "safe."

Kinda funny how "safe" works in a "small town." Lil Jiimmy was in his safe small town, and his safe small neighborhood, with a few of his safe friends. When Lil Jimmys heart stopped though, all of Jimmys safe small town friends, got scared and left him.

It's funny how "safe" works in a "small town."
