Week 4: Caldwell (3-0) v Monroe Central (1-2)

Post by raindelay »

Caldwell comes in after a blowout win against Wellsville last week. MC lost @ River. Thoughts?

If Caldwell can run the ball the 'Noles are in trouble.
'Skins should prevail but for MC this is a big one.

Same as last week. I think the Noles hang tough for 2 1/2 quarters but Caldwell pulls away by by 2 TD’s. We’re just not quite there yet.

Monroe Central/Woodsfield is 46-33-3 all time vs Caldwell.
Caldwell has won 5 in a row in the series.
The Longest streak in the series is 8 by Monroe Central, from 2006-2013.
I think that Monroe Central can win this game if they can slow down the running game.
Caldwell’s wins have been against teams with a 2-7 record.
Monroe Central’s opponents have a record of 6-2.

Caldwell is a pass first offense. My great nephew (on the team) says they have a pretty major player out for an injury this week that will really hurt the offense. I still think Caldwell wins but it will be competitive.

Hate to hear this. I’d rather play all teams at full health. I hope he isn’t out very long. Coach Rucker has a nice program going over at I77 an 78

Their run sets up their pass. Hopefully both teams are at full strength. Caldwell has a very nice line this year and good athletes all over the field. They’ll have some good tests coming up in weeks 7 and 8.

It did not seem as if Caldwell was missing a key player. Almost managed to drop 50 on the Seminoles
