Honestly, maybe get away from teachers coaching for the time being.GrumpyPundit wrote: ↑Thu Mar 21, 2024 10:18 am RV might be a good school with mostly good people in charge, but you’re crazy if you think this won’t affect getting coaches to move in, not knowing what the ultimate fallout will be from the wrestling scandal and whatever this football issue might be. River Valley sports are going to have to be led by whoever these “good people” are in-district.

A thing can be known and not proven, just as a thing can be wrong but not a crime.BlizzardMan wrote: ↑Mon Mar 18, 2024 8:29 pm So is this whole thing BS or what? Brown was escprted oit, but that doesn't mean anything was proven, and I have seen nothing reported. Is he still in?

Yes. McAvena runs a tight ship and Rob runs a good weight room. Raiders are in good hands.
Re: River Valley Job
McAvena might good for the program, been in Bidwell all his life,he Always Coached, even when Phil Skidmore ran a lot of programs.

Heard McAvena has always coached well disciplined teams. Hopefully this will help turn the program around. Hate to see any team receive so much negativity. It only makes the area better when more teams do better on and off the field. I know a good majority of the players on RV are good kids. I hope others will see it now!!

Seriously, this job is like Gallipolis, for different reasons, but who would want either job?

Somebody asked me that once... all I could say was that it was as close as I could get to going home.Jimbob2023 wrote: ↑Wed Apr 03, 2024 8:50 am Seriously, this job is like Gallipolis, for different reasons, but who would want either job?

McAvena is head coach. Rob has them in the gym every day. From the looks of it they’re both drill Sargents! Should be a huge turn around from Cooper
