Miami Trace’s Trey Robinette Reported To Be Preferred Walk On QB At Ohio State

Trey Robinette, the quarterback of the Miami Trace High School football team for the past three seasons, was planning on attending West Liberty University (located in West Virginia) and playing football for the Hilltoppers.

Those plans have changed and Robinette is walking on for the defending National Champion Ohio State Buckeyes.

Congrats. In the world of college football, this could be a win-win for him. He goes to state gets better, and if he opts to leave there, he will be a better player and be a force wherever he goes, if he goes.

A degree from Ohio State and being part of the football program can open many doors to a successful life even for those who will never take a live game snap. Maybe, just maybe the advice was sound.

Someone should revoke that moderator green that's on your name after this type of comment. You have absolutely NO IDEA what the young man is looking for, nowhere in the article does it state how he's going there to push for a starting position. What's good for you if you were that age obviously isn't what this young man is looking. I mean do you really think he doesn't know he could go elsewhere and possibly see the field?? Just sort of a wow comment here, he wants to stay close to home, he'll be part of a great tradition and work on earning his degree from OSU.
