A football player told me last year in a casual conversation that Coach Wright was the most positive coach he had ever had. Paraphrasing. He said that he told you what you were doing correctly, talked about what you needed to correct, talked about going hard every day against the starters to make them better and said that he told the senior starters its your job to make the guys coming in the future better. Help them get better and be positive. I know many of the current players were looking forward to having him as a head coach this year.
Rest in Peace Josh. A life well lived but unfortunately cut short. You are missed.

Heartbroken ... to learn of Coach Josh Wright's unexpected passing. His profound impact on our community spanned decades—primarily at Philo, with a meaningful chapter at Tri-Valley where he returned just last year before being named head coach last month.
