A bye never makes sense! Would they possibly allow teams to seek a controlled game or scrimmage/practice? If you don’t compete for two weeks a bye could hurt more than help?

12 team playoff will definitely be a plus for teams. That first playoff week in a 16 team format is basically a walk through and creates the risk of a team losing one of their playmakers for no reason.
