The school year is almost over and there is no football coach in place? And people wonder why this school has never won a conference title and has never been to the play-offs. If it was not for the loss of 30-40 boys to other schools (Valley, West, Minford or Notre Dame) to play football, and the loss of money taken in at home games, I'd say drop the sport and focus on soccer in the fall. JMHO.

I am pretty sure there is a head coach in place. From what I understand he is VERY knowledgeable of the game, and most importantly he is a true MOHAWK who understands the odds against the program and what it is going to take to make the changes that need to be made. From what I have heard he will work to make things better instead of using his name to win ball games like some of our former coaches have tried. Good luck to the MOHAWKS.

I believe Scott Thompson is Jim "Snuffy" Smith's son-in-law! I'm not positive though!

Anyway. Congratulations Coach Thompson! Good Luck to the Mohawks except in week #1! But win the rest!

Congrats to Coach Thompson. I had the pleasure of coaching Jr Hi football at Piketon with Scott. He knows the area and knows football. Look forward to seeing him week three this year.

Job One...........get out of the basement in the conference final standings! Rome was not built in a day! The longest journey begins with the first step! You have much work to do to take that first step! Good Luck Mohawks!

Yes! Ran into him at Waverly Wal-mart not long ago..... He said he has great kids and good numbers and has his typical optimism!!! If my boys were still in high school I would be moving to McDermott. I hope he does well and gets treated right! I might even have to wear blue and red week 3!!!!!! Good luck Scott!
