Some fans of Ironton are just like University of Miami. Not the crap of NCAA violations. Not going there. But the Tradition of just plugging in a Head Coach and win. They keep thinking they are an elite program but reality that is the past. Years ago since they both have been. It is a program that fans need to get behind and players need to prepare and build over the years. It starts in the lower grades. This has gone down hill after losing some real good men who helped run it. Where learning to play the right way with discipline and respect. Which some fans keep wanting to put all on the coaches. Too much parent involvement that is not productive to a winning program. Hard for coaches to coach when players listen more to others. The fan base can not handle not being an elite program but they also do not want to put blame on the players for not working hard. All most want to do is talk about getting rid of the coaches. Did the same last year. Enjoy you get to complain win or lose because you do not want to build on a win.

Panthers over the Tigers by a score of 35-14. I think Ironton can score, just don't think they can stop Peak from scoring.

Control been years since outside influences have left coaches in control.

from what I understand the panthers have excellent speed that needs to be kept in check.

Supposed to rain Thursday and friday and Ironton has natural grass field so Peakes speed might not be an issue the wet and muddy field will be a factor I like Ironton at home 35 to 28.

Last week Chesapeake showed that could play 4 quarters against a quality opponent. Ironton has definitely had the tougher non-conference schedule. There is no common opponent to compare each team. Also, this game will be at the Tank and the temp will be much cooler, which is are both advantages for the Tigers.

Last year, Ironton played keep away from Chesapeake and didn't have a turnover ( I think). Chesapeake, on the other hand, did. It was the difference in the game.

A turnover by Coal Grove early in the second half set the tone for the Panthers onslaught last week and totally changed the game.

I said all that to say that this: this game will be very close and competitive, but I believe the key for Chesapeake will be forcing turnovers. If Ironton is able to produce long time consuming drives that result in scores, and have zero turnovers, then this could be a very, very good game.

If Chesapeake's defense scores at all, I don't know if Ironton will be able to overcome.

Ironton needs to control the ball and clock and finish drives.
I fear they will not finish drives because of silly penalties.
This Ironton team is as bad if not worse than the rest in the past few years.
No discipline no creative play calling and completely lost on defense.
I would like to see a Ironton win but it maybe to tall of a task and they may end up 3-7 this year sadly.

Is Andrew Scott okay? I heard this morning that he may not be able to go Friday night. That he had a serious leg injury.
