Proof that National Rankings are a crock

MaxPreps and promoted by ESPN has St. Ignatius as #4 in the nation. That is not my problem, my problem is that in several different locals ESPN and MaxPreps says that Iggy is 9-0. That is a pretty impressive feat in Ohio to be 9-0 during week 6.

What I think is funny is that you have to prove to yourself that you think it is a crock. I mean, there's no real, quantifiable way to compare thousands of schools all over the country who only play 10 games a year. So naturally, any comparison is going to be merely the opinion of the one doing the comparison. There are a lot of "likelies" involved, but no @#$% there's nothing scientific about it. It's just something for fun and exposure.
