7. Once the day has concluded, who can issue authorization to return to practice / competition in the sport?
Once a concussion has been diagnosed by one of the above listed on site providers, only an MD, DO or LAT can authorize
subsequent return to play, and such authorization shall be in writing to the administration of the school. This written RTP
authorization shall be kept at the school unitl the statute of limitations expires, which is four years from the date of the student’s 18th
birthday.
School administration shall then notify the coach as to the permission to return to practice or play.
8. What should be done after the student is cleared by an appropriate health care professional?
After a clearance has been issued, the student’s actual return to practice and play should follow a graduated protocol.
The National Federation has included the following graduated protocol in its Suggested Guidelines for
Management of Concussion in Sports: (This is simply a suggested protocol. The appropriate health care
professional who issues the clearance may wish to establish a different graduated protocol.)

They can be cleared by a Licensed Athletic Trainer.Orange and Brown wrote:They don't. The recommend that players slowly reaclomate to practice but once a doctor clears a player they can return and play.
The only steadfast rule OHSAA has about players returning is that they must be cleared by a physician and that letter clearing the player must remain on file for 4 years.

Why didn't you ask your family member on the team if Helton was allowed to play instead assuming and reporting here first??? Just Curious??Ironman99 wrote:Thanks learned something new I didn't know lat could do that

Someone get these two some boxing gloves.
How about why one team wins over the other? Or what does Meigs have to do to win or vice-versa with Athens.
How about all time series wins/losses.
Is one of these two out of the TVC race if they lose? Can there be a 2-3 way tie.
Anything but the schlong measuring contest going on here would be great.

Meigs is going to be revamped and playing with fire, they are finally gonna realize they have no size and use speed to their advantage.
This is gonna be a high scoring game with Meigs on top 42-35.

I thought Meigs would beat Athens last year and I was wrong. I do think Meigs will start to play better the healthier they get (obviously) but I think even without Cody if they are healthy they can beat anyone on their schedule.
Calpreps:
Athens (The Plains, OH) at Meigs (Pomeroy, OH) [projection: Athens (The Plains, OH) 38-21]

Do u insist on posting negative comments to everyone that says something about Meigs. You won't get an argument from me, I'm on here to talk football, not have arguments in which you seem to only want to get started.Bighitsinc wrote:Yea riiiiiight, just like last week I suppose.tvc_fan wrote:Next 2 weeks Meigs has a chance to ruin playoff spots for both teams....sure be great if they pulled off the upsets.
They got their butts beat last week. These are kids trying their best and I'm sure there working to improve so a butt kicking like last week doesn't happen again.
