Can't believe there wasn't a single post on this game yesterday.

I'll post some series history later. Would be cool to put together a "Top Ten" list of Logan Jackson games.

The Chiefs make the trip down 93 tomorrow night . Look for a very good game , weather forecast is great with no rain . Not much chatter on site which indicates respect by both schools Fans . Be sad to see the end of the SEOL . Good luck to the Chiefs and good luck to Jackson next year .

Since this is the end of the road for the SEOAL and potentially the Jackson/Logan game, what are some of the best games ever played in the history of this game? Have they played every year since 1923?

I believe this series is very even in wins and losses maybe something like 46-47 or thereabouts in favor of Logan??

There have been some great games, last year was no slouch featuring an undefeated Logan and a 1-loss Jackson in Logan.

Good luck to both teams Friday, and between both teams they will probably march 170-200 kids each before the game and at halftime.

Solid programs. End of an era.

Craig Dunn of the Logan Daily News reports that Nelsonville-York chose not to renew with Logan for the 2017 and 2018 seasons.

In their place, Logan will play Chillicothe.

2017 LHS Schedule:
AT Dublin Jerome
VS Teays Valley
VS Meigs
VS Sheridan
AT Chillicothe
AT Athens
OPEN
VS Dublin Scioto
AT Hamilton Ross
VS Warren

Still have open dates in 2018 (Weeks 8, 9, and 10) as well.

I thought I read that the NY coach wanted to play Waverly and to do this the Logan came needed to be off the schedule. NY and Waverly both have good teams this year. Would have liked to seen them play this year.

Keeping the theme this year, look for a close game until halftime! But the ironboy's will pull away!

Logan, you know what it takes now. Play to your ability and let the chips fall where they may.

It was nice of NYHS to let the LHS administration know. As of two weeks ago Logan expected to be playing NY the next two years.

N/Y is losing a lot of money by dropping Logan, also not a very classy move!

I'm sure it wasn't intentional if that's the case. Coach Dalton isn't that kind of person.
It was my understanding that you guys were told last season that we wouldn't renew after this year but with Boston leaving and Coach Dalton taking over as Ad I'm sure their was just some miscommunication along the way.
NY brings in a lot of money without Logan and Minford and Waverly are great pickups for our program.

Looks like a good pick up for NY and Logan. Based off of the school size among the 4 schools.
These numbers are copied from OHSAA last enrollment numbers.

Logan 467 boys
Chili 328 boys

Waverly 217 boys
NY 146 boys

Sorry, didn't mean to imply it was intentional. I like all the folks I've encountered with N-Y and their administration. They've always been great. You're probably right about a miscommunication.

But I had mentioned your post about Minford/Waverly to a few folks at Logan and they seemed to think we still didn't have an opening week 5.

This should be a physical match-up in the trenches. I look for Jackson to come out on top by 3 scores. Logan may have had their season moment last week beating Athens. They have a tough task this week and a monumental task next week.
