US beating Athens won't be an upset. We are the better team lol :D
Yes, NY beat Logan who beat Athens - guarantees the Bucks are a better team. I just hope Athens can make a game of it.

I didn't make any comparisons based off who beat who lol
I've seen both teams and in my opinion, NY is better...

Not to go off topic, but shouldn't this be in a thread NY versus Athens? You guys are Mods and should know this...Just kidding, I have seen both teams play this year and I think NY has the edge, I give the edge to NY on the Defensive side of the ball.

Its a playoff thread - and NY vs Athens week 10 is essentially a playoff game.

Another playoff topic ... can a (7-3) Miller team make the playoffs in region 27?

I sure hope so. It would be nice to see Miller get in.

But NY versus Athens MAY NOT be any bearing on a playoff spot if Athens gets beat by RV. Or if NY gets beat by VC.

Athens shouldn't look past River Valley at all.

Yea, I watched Oklahoma on tv & 'thought' they were better than ohio state. I haven't seen NY in person yet, watched every game except when they played the Boston tribute all weekend. I cant at all say who is better, they both look pretty good to me, especially against the competition they've been facing the last month.

I'm not calling Athens bad. I think they are a pretty darn good football team.
You're not going to see me predicting some kind of blowout week 10.
Both teams are good enough to win. The battle in the trenches should be fun to watch.

Ironton is going to finish 6 or 7. All depends on Athens vs. York. If York wins I believe they will be 5. Outside shot at 4. if they would lose to Athens, I think they are 8. Another game that could effect this region is Liberty Union vs. Amanda Clearcreek. If liberty union loses that game, they are out.
Here's how I see region 19 finishing.
1.Burg
2. Way
3. CTown.
4. Union Local.
5. York. (With York beating Athens. Which I think they will)
6. Zane Trace
7. Ironton
8. Ridgewood. (Unless liberty Union beats Clearcreek. Then I believe Liberty Union would be 6. Bumping Zane Trace and ironton down a spot.)

I have York at 16.10 with a loss to Athens. Drew has them at 16.45 with a loss to Athens. I have Ridgewood at 16.25 or 16.30.

Athens vs NY is basically a playoff game. Loser will be out

It is only like a playoff game IF Athens beat River Valley, If Athens loses against RV, They will not make the Playoffs, Therefore the NY/Athens game means nothing other then what seed NY gets.

I think NY is in regardless (IF clearcreek beats liberty union which I think they should). Just depends if they are 5 or 8.

Jackson will need Logan to beat Ross and Warren in order to help us the most I think. Be nice if we could get some other secondary help, but Logan probably helps most.

Sheridan beating Tri Valley last night clogged up the available Region 11 spots.

Uh, I wouldn't say nothing. TVC ohio championship. Doc Kroner trophy. Even if athens loses to RV, they'll still be playing for at least a share of the title.

This is a Playoff picture thread and not a TVC Title thread, so like said, if Athens loses to RV, then the NY/Athens game has no meaning for a PLAYOFF spot other then NY seeding.
