You can't worry about the injuries and who is coming up in a couple of weeks. Just let it happen. It will all work out.

Win or loose, I'd say you will. These West kids will hit you. Bricker and company love to lay the wood. Makes me cringe sometimes, especially if he's the QB.

A prior post said that they doubt West is 49 points better. So do I. We are however significantly better from a physical and talent standpoint. Portsmouth is not as good as last year, so maybe we add them together and we can get a West win. I hope.

The Trojans can win this game but they will have to play better this week than they did against South Point. The exciting thing for Trojan fans will be to see the progress of sophomore Josh Myers at QB. He is going to get better and better as time goes, and with his improvement PHS will be a tougher team to beat. He certainly has the weapons around him, and Ryan Jordan made a big impact at RB last week.

Hopefully we will come out and not make any turnovers and keep West bottled up deep in their territory......the Senators running game will be a test for the Trojan defense........and the kicking game will be very important.......it's important every game, but especially so in games that are expected to be very competitive.

GO TROJANS!!!

Should be a great game like to watch these teams play. IMO West's backfield will wear them down.

not so fast my freinds----i understand that these two teams have a lot of talent, speed and are strong, so the question comes down to o-line play, the kicking game, who has the most coachable players (meaning do they play the posions with disicpline) and coaching. someone tell me about these four things--- not just who is going to win because WE ARE ??? or who can lay the wood.
i think these four things are key in closely matched teams.

just ask wheelersburg fans

My hunch: West with a mobile QB wins easily.

I agree. Long term, Morgan will make us a better team. He will spread the field more. Right now though, Bricker may be a better fit because he is the better runner IMO. If you are going to play power football with a full house and 2 Tights, it can become hard to protect the QB because teams will load the box on you. Another runner is always nice to keep the defense honest. After we get our line more situated and he is healthy, Morgan will get the job back. The job now is to hold the fort down and win enough games to stay in the playoff race.

west will get a steady diet of off tackle runs at them until they stop it....problem is they can't without crowding the box then it's open season for an accomplished passer

from what I've seen out of Wests D, I don't think they'll have to crowd the line to stop the run, especially against a spread team. Our defense is fast. Portsmouth will a very hard time running the football.
