MariettaPride21 you talk like Marietta is some stud because they get pounded by much superior teams every week. Why is that? Warren will be a test for Marietta and should be favored in this game.

hahaha...i cannot agree more with that statement although i really think this game can go either way. It's going to come down to who wants it more and which team is gonna hit the hardest

Have you been to the games or Just read the Times because Kevin Pearson doesn't know enough about football to be writing articles about the games. They published Cambridge's article about that game, that might have been written with a bobcat bias.

Game 1: vs. Darby: completely outmatched against a 3-0 OCC school who was in the regional finals last season. How would the Warriors have done against them?

Game 2: vs. Cambridge: Marietta burried early by costly penalties. 2nd half score MHS 20 CHS 7. Bobcat starters played the whole game BTW. Cambridge dropped Philo a few years back because they were not even competitative. Philo 20 Warren 0!!

Game 3: vs. New Philadelphia: Marietta has 3 turnovers inside NP's 15 yard line and two more inside NP's 30 yard line. Score a little deceiving if you watched the game.

Warren hasn't beaten Marietta since 2001, that is six straight for the Tigers. You guys come in every year with your better record saying you should be favored and "this is the year". Look at the results from the last six years, only once was it even close.

2007: MHS 40-7
2006: MHS 21-0 (Warren 49 yards rushing, 67 passing, total 116, didn't corss mid-field til late in the 3rd quarter)
2005: MHS 35-12 (Warren 33 yards rushing, 133 passing - 57 which was a pass to Schadd from Proctor who were Warren's starters as time expired when Marietta's JV were in the game)
2004: MHS 35-14
2003: MHS 44-42
2002: MHS 56-20

AGAIN Marietta has been pounded the first three games like they do every year. Never understood the logic of scheduling teams you have no chance against. OK Cambridge dropped Philo because they weren't competitive and Marietta got blown out by Cambridge. Whats your point?? Thank you for the history lesson and the math refresher. Warren has been competitive in all there games thus far and Marietta hasn't the game will be close and hopefully competitive.

How do we know that Parkersburg South isn't good competition? They beat a team from Washington DC 49-0 last week. Heck, they may be WV State Champs this year!

warrne will need to throw more than 5 passes and only complete one to win against etta and something tells me that Perry wheeler is way better than the south backs and Connar Hess puts up a nice block and run sometimes so yea im really no convinced.

You can't justify the fact that Marietta over-scheduled themselves by mocking Warren's two wins compared to none. I would be concerned that the Marietta boys are beginning to play "not to lose". I have no idea if Warren is better than Marietta, but I do know that Warren won two close games by running the ball, playing good defense and making plays with their special teams. This builds more equity than getting your lunch handed to you three weeks in row. You have to make some deposits before you make some withdrawls.

wow good call on the score there, all of those things happened it just so happens that Venham's punt return got called back. Great game to watch, I thought Warren was going to get the shutout but South managed to get some points on the board with 3 minutes like to make the game a little more exciting. Good Job Blue!!! keep it rolling into Marietta next week!!!
