Great game by the Buckeyes, Great game by Meigs. All the young men played their hearts out. Buckeyes showed heart and never quit with their backs against the wall.

Arnold had 358 all purpose yards. 2 kickoff returns for tds, 2 pat runs, and a receiving TD pass. He had some great blocks from his teammates and broke a lot of tackles too.... Great win Buckeyes!!!!!

Congrats to the buckeyes on a huge win:)....and congrats to meigs you have a well balanced amazing team...truth be told in my opinion and im a NY Fan...Meigs should have won and that call in the endzone was and is very questionable...but cant blame the refs...ny got screwed in first half and meigs got screwed in second....but anyways...congrats to both teams look 4 both teams to win out well except 4 the NY = vs. = Ironton games...that should be a great one:)...well GO BUCKEYES!!!!!

I've had a soft spot for Meigs in recent years, but the cheating and ref BS is weak.

I got a text from a non-NY person at Wellston/NY last week saying, "The refs are horrible. Cannot be stressed enough. They should lose their licenses. No way they will let NY win this game."

But..... NY won the game. The battled it out.

Meigs hasn't beaten NY since 2001. I don't think the refs were following these two teams around for 7 years.

Sorry to hear that Meigs lost but smaller schools seem to own them. WHY does everyone blame the officials. Leave them alone. Until you have been on the field and worked a big game like this one, just SHUT THE H___
UP. Like officials say after the games are over, just consider the source of the comments.

NY pays the official the same no matter who wins and I know that for fact as I have signed a great number of NY checks for officiating for them and none had any bonus that I ever seen.

Simply put, I don't think there are a lot of very good officials left in this part of the country. Everyone naturally assumes that the home team or the winning team is thrilled with the way the game was called..... Nothing could be further from the truth :!:

NY had some horrible calls go against them on the road last week at Wellston (including 3 TD's called back) and still found a way to win in DOUBLE OT........ This week there were some horrible calls (and non-calls) at home including at least a dozen times when Meigs broke the huddle with 12 people and times when big plays were brought back on penalties including yet another touchdown :!: :!: :!:

There is no "BIG conspiracy" officiating is just pretty bad right now (including last weeks game with Meigs and Athens)

If you want to look for a "reason" or "excuse" for a loss, look no further than Derick Arnold (The kid had nearly 400 all purpose yards, two kickoff returns for TD's, a TD catch, and two 2-pt conversion runs, including the game winner) :122246

THAT is why NY won and Meigs lost :!:

Meigs had this game won but defense and special teams got them again. That area has cost them before in this series. The comment about smaller schools is true. As far as the officiating went there were bad calls both ways as usual, no reason to cry foul. It's been said on here by others before but the faithful down that way seem to be satisfied with 7-3 or 6-4 seasons?

:aaaaa8 :aaaaa8 :aaaaa8 :aaaaa8 I am seriously laughing at YOU. I mean I am laughing in your face up close and personal!!!!!!! The BIG question here is IF you grow up not when. As for you becoming a ref. from what i've seen lately you would fit right in with many of the crews (only qualification being weak)!!! As for the "C-G" this must be somthing that takes place at your hometown with you being the president of that club.

Once again here's laughing at YOU :aaaaa8 :aaaaa8 :aaaaa8 :aaaaa8 :aaaaa8 :aaaaa8 :aaaaa8

I do not care what anyone thinks, some times you are playing against the officials as well as the other team and Nelsonville is one of those places. Having played there in my high school career I find that it is almost as bad as playing wellston at home in basketball. AD's hire a crew and at those places the AD's have friends of friends who are the officiating crew. You can try to say it isn't true, you can say people are just crying because they lost but whether or not you want to admit it people get hosed at NY and have for years.
